Stunning Beauty is one of the first bosses you’ll fight inThe First Descendant. As the second Colossus boss, she uses electricity and many AoE attacks to damage her foes. But with a good scout rifle and some practice, you can down this boss in a couple of attempts.
Defeating Stunning Beauty just requires a small bit of preparation and attention to detail. This guide will cover all of Stunning Beauty’s strengths, weaknesses, notable attacks, and cover her enrage mechanic. We also go over the basics of Void Intercept fights, notably how weakpoints work, to ensure that you’ll be dealing as much damage as possible.
Stunning Beauty Overview
This boss is weak toCrushdamage, which includes machine guns, scout rifles, and sniper rifles.
Stunning Beauty is the second Colossus you’ll fight during the campaign. She primarily deals electric damage and ishighly vulnerable totoxindamage. You won’t have toxin mods at this stage of the game, so you’ll need to rely on scaling base damage to take this boss down. You don’t need a min-maxed build to take this boss down, butsome upgraded modules wouldn’t hurt.
This boss is incredibly weak toCrush damage, so bring any scout rifles or machine guns you’ve found in your playthrough thus far. Throw on the Rifle Reinforcement mod and upgrade it a few times to further improve your damage.
Stunning Beauty Mechanics
Stunning Beauty’s slender frame makes her somewhat tricky to damage, but she has quite a few weakpoints on her body you can target.Her shoulders, chest, and lower legs are weakpoints, receiving bonus damage when hit. You can easily mark these vulnerable parts by using your Ecive scanner, whichyou can bind in the options menu.
For this fight, your goal should be todamage each weakpoint until it starts to glow yellow.A yellow weakpoint means it’s vulnerable to grapple attacks. Use your grappling hook to attach yourself onto the part, then hold the aim key to hold on. Once she stops shaking, press the attack key to punch her armor plate. With enough hits, it will shatter and force Stunning Beauty into a staggered state. Damage her while she’s down, rinse and repeat.
Enraged State
Partway through the fight, Stunning Beauty willbecome immune to all damage and project a mechanical eye above her body.This eye will track a random player and deal immense damage to them each second. You musthide behind cover until the eye closes.This is your moment to strike. Damage the eye as much as possible until it shatters or Stunning Beauty gets rid of it.
If you can break the eye, you’ll stagger the boss for a few seconds, giving you a brief DPS window.
Notable Attacks
There are only two attacks you need to watch out for in this fight:
Beyond that, Stunning Beauty tends toteleport throughout the fight.Wait until she teleports before you cast an ultimate or use any heavy ammo. If you can force her into a staggered state, you’ll have plenty of time to damage her.
