The Non-White Boss Easy Strategy
A few things to remember: The Non-White boss can onlyparry incoming attacks with his main weapon, the one that inflicts Frost. He can withstandfour parries before he will riposte, hitting you twice.
Aloud clangwill signal that he’s about to riposte, sobackstep twiceto dodge the two quick slashes.
Above his health bar is atiny posture barthatdepletes with each parry. When this bar is fully drained, he’llstagger for up to five seconds, offering aperfect chance for a combo onslaught.
After recovering from the stagger, he’ll switch tohis poisoned twin swords, although he can also do this even if you haven’t broken his stance. It’s also worth noting thatImmobilize is ineffective in this phase, and he’llquickly break free after one hit, often taunting you in the process.
In the second encounter, the fight initiates with agap-closing movefrom the Non-White, such as therolling slash comboor slashes before he uses thefrost sweepattack. Luckily, you canuse Immobilize in this phaseto land some free hits if he’s persistently parrying your attacks. Otherwise, you’ll have toround the Non-White to target his backat the end of his combos.
The Non-White isparticularly weak to Shock, which you may easily inflict using theThunder Damagefrom your staff.
When he brings out his twin swords, you’ll want to be a lot more careful asgetting hit a few times will trigger the Poison Bane. As such, theAntimiasma Powder is crucial here, as it instantly cures the debilitation.
In this phase, the Non-White also becomesmore aggressive and unpredictable, and he alsoleaves afterimagesof himself to confuse you. The main attack you’ll want to watch out for is hispoison volley, and it will effortlessly put you in the Poisoned State if it connects.
While he’s a slippery and sly adversary who resorts to cheap tricks to keep you off balance, staying sharp and avoiding his deceptionswill help you outmaneuver him. And when he least expects it,unleash yourEbon Flowtransformation to finish him off once and for good.
