Black Myth: Wukongfeatures one boss after the other, and while most of them have pretty straightforward moves, some of the boss battles can be exceptionally unique. Finding and fighting such unique bosses requires you to employ special strategies.

Captain Lotus-Vision is an optional boss that the player may encounter in Chapter 3. This boss is a lot different from the Destined One has encountered so far, as it focuses exclusively on lasers and magical attacks. You’ll have to deal with many projectiles in this boss fight. Fortunately, there are multiple ways to defeat this boss effectively.

The Destined One is standing near the Upper Pagoda Shrine.

How To Find Captain Lotus-Vision

In Chapter 3’s Pagoda Realm area, you have to make your way to theUpper Pagoda Shrine. From there, you have to jump down from the ledge. You’d be able to see many petrified monks down below.

The Captain Lotus-Vision is rightin front of the many petrified monks. If these petrified monks are killed during the boss battle, they won’t respawn when you resurrect at a shrine, but reloading the game will respawn the monks.

Captain Lotus-Vision Attacks

Captain Lotus-Vision only attacks through lasers and magical projectiles, andavoiding them allis incredibly challenging. If there are petrified monks in the arena, the boss may make them come alive, and you’ll have to fight them first. Luckily, these monks don’t have that much HP.

How To Avoid

1-Hit Projectile Attack + Laser

The boss will often throw severaltiny magical orbs in the Destined One’s direction. Captain Lotus-Vision might pair this attack with a laser follow-up. you’re able to see it coming if the boss’ staff starts to glow with a circle around it.

You can very easily avoid thisattack by dodgingin any direction. To avoid the laser, dodge as the staff glows brighter for an instant.

You can avoid these projectiles bysprinting to your sides or by dodging repeatedly. Note that if you get hit by one small magical orb, you’ll get hit by the rest of them as well and won’t be able to avoid it. You can also choose touse the staff spinmove to deflect these projectiles.

If you’ve hit these petrified monks with yourattacks, or by dodging, they will be destroyed and won’t be able to come to life.

3-Hit Projectile Attack

The boss willattack you thrice, with a bunch of tiny magical orbs.

You can avoid this attack bydodging just as the orbs are about to hit youor by using the spinning staff to deflect these projectiles.

Ground Explosions

At times, when you successfully avoid the magical orb projectiles. They’ll go into the ground andsmall magical explosionswill start to take place.

Simplyget away from the explosionsto avoid them, they have a very small radius.

Giant Magic Circle Sequence

After you’ve dealt some damage to Captain Lotus-Vision, it will teleport and agiant magic circle on its backwill appear. During this sequence,a tracking laserwill be shot out from the boss’ staff. Meanwhile, smaller magical circles will appear from the giant circle, with eachsmaller circle shooting an instant laser. These small circles will appear from the giant circle four times, one by one, before appearing at once andshooting a combined laser at the Destined One. After the sequence is complete, four magical deviceswill appear in each corner of the room with each oneshooting a continuous laserthat rotates 90 degrees twice, combining at the center of the room two times. This attack destroys all the petrified monks in the arena, and the magical devices in each corner will remain there for the rest of the boss fight.

Avoiding everything in this sequence is difficult. For the tracking laser from the staff, you can simplysprint to the sides to avoid it. The instant lasers from the smaller magical circles are easy to avoid as you have tododge exactly when the circle blinks brighterfor a moment. For the 90-degree laser from each device in the corner, you can jump over it at the precise timeto avoid it.

During the later half of the boss fight when you’ve taken out about 75 percent of Captain Lotus-Vision’s HP, it will teleport to the center of the room and will begin to levitate higher. During this sequence, several lasers will pop up from everywhere in the room. These lasers don’t move and will damage you if you touch them. Alongside, the stationary lasers, there will also be several smallermagical projectilesthat are difficult to see but will follow you and deal damage to you. The boss will continue this attack for a short while, before coming down to the ground again.

The lasers themselves aren’t that much of a threat, since they won’t damage youunless you touch them. To avoid the faint smaller magical projectiles, you will have to observe carefully and dodge.

The boss will keep teleporting from one side to the other. However, you can use theImmobilize spell to lock Captain Lotus-Vision down. You can also charge a heavy smash attack, and throw it right as it teleports, allowing you to deal your share of damage before the boss decides to teleport again.
