A big part ofYaoling: Mythical Journeyis travelling around the world to recruit NPCs to live in your village. These NPCs will provide you with helpful services, such as hunting lodges and shops. Unfortunately, most of these NPCs will require some saving, usually from a tough demonic Yaoling that you must face.
Caulie is a chef who can be found to the south of the starting village. When you meet her, though, it becomes apparent that you must save her from a tough rabbit-like Yaoling called the Terrigaze. Fortunately, this fight isn’t anything to write home about as long as you’ve done some preparation.

How To Beat Terrigaze
Terrigaze (also called Terrorgaze) is likely the first demon Yaoling that you’ll fight in the game. Withover 1,000 HPand a tough move in Wilting Barrage, this can be a long fight if you don’t have the right preparations taken care of.
The key to beating Terrigaze is tomake sure you have a full party- you can deployfive Yaolingsto the fight, and you’ll begin the game with four.Catching aLaventotin the first area south of the village should bring you up to this round number.
Youcannot catch demons, so don’t waste time or Seal Charms trying to!
Remember that to fill spaces in your party, you’ll need totake Yaolings from your storagevia a Spirit Shrine.
If you are still struggling with this fight, don’t be afraid to useHealing Charmson any Yaolings that get low on health! The extra bit of survivability will go a long way to making the fight more bearable.
Upon your success, Caulie will join your village andopen up a restaurantwhen spoken to. This will allow you to eat buffing meals and also earn money by putting your Yaolings to work. In addition,Caulie will give you a fishing rod, unlocking the ability to fish for Yaolings and crafting materials.
