There are dozens of different foods you can serve your guests inTravellers Rest, and almost as many ingredients. You’ll want to diversify what you serve to take advantage of food and ingredient trends to make extra money, and this means getting all the ingredients you can.

Cheese is one such ingredient. Alone, it sells for a decent price, but it’s a necessary addition to all sorts of recipes, such as Brie and Bean Rolls or Quiche, and you never know if it might be the next trending ingredient either. If you want it for your tavern, you’ll need a Cheesery.

How To Get A Cheesery

To make cheese, you’re going to need aspecific food preparation machine, the Cheesery, and you canget access to itonce youreach Reputation level ten.

The morning after hitting this milestone, you’llget a letter in the mail from Amon, and he’ll tell you about the cheese process, as well as that he’s nowgot Cheeseries in stockat his store. Head over to his tavern on theroad on your first left when you go into the city, and ask to shop.

Down at thebottom of his shop menu, you’ll see the new Cheesery, and it’s available topurchase for two gold and 70 silver. Take it back to your tavern and you canplace it somewhere in the kitchenor another crafting zone.

How To Make Cheese

Before you may make the cheese, you’llneed a few other ingredients, specificallyCurds, as well as others, like Lemon Juice, Kitchen Yeast, or a Cheese Starter,depending on the type of cheeseyou’re making.

Curds themselves can bemade at any Food Prep Tablewith at leastone Milk of any type, and it’ll take40 in-game minutes to make.

You canobtain milk from your farm animalsin a barn or bybuying it bi-weeklyfrom Holly’s shop atHarvest Hill Farmevery day except for Saturday and Sunday.

Now go over to the Cheesery andinteract with itlike usual once you’ve got some Curds. You’ll have afew default cheese optionsavailableto make from when you first bought it, whileothers will become availableas youunlock different recipesthat need them as ingredients.

Almost any cheese you make is going totake three in-game hours, and once it’s finished, you’ll stillhave one more stepbefore it’s edible or usable in dishes:aging the cheese.

Unlike alcohol, which ages in a whole batch, onlytwo pieces of cheese age per stack per day, but the upsideis that theyonly have one aging stage.

How To Age Cheese

To age any cheese, you willneed an Aging Rack. These can bepurchased from Amon’s storeeven before the Cheesery is unlocked forone gold,12 silver,and 50 Copper, and theygo into the cellarwith the Aging Barrels.

Place it down anywhere, then interact with it topull up a similar aging menuto the barrels,put in the cheeseyou want to age, and thenleave it there until it’s finished.
