Once Humanis an open-world, multiplayer survival game where you fight off various enemies and creatures infected with Stardust. The player is Meta-Human, meaning that they are one of the few that can stave off the alien infection, and work together with other players to save the world.
The map is massive, with many different landmarks and prizes to find. Of these are Rift Anchors, objectives placed across the map that need to be activated to progress the main storyline. Activating them is usually straightforward, but can come with some difficulties. Luckily, we’ve got a guide to help.
How To Find And Activate Rift Anchors In Once Human
Rift Anchorscan be easily foundon the map. Just press ’m' to open it, then look for any of thebackward ‘c’ shaped symbols: those are rift anchors. You cantrackthese byright-clickingon the Rift Anchor of your choice.
Most anchors are foundnear or in abandoned townsor structures. Once you are closer to one, it willemit a purple light, making it easy to find. Additionally, therecommended character level will be listed, so be sure you come prepared and properly geared.
Rift Anchorsaretied to the story, meaning that they are bothneeded to progress, and that you will beunable to access someunless you are further along. Once you haveactivated all Rift Anchors in the region, you will be able tochallenge the area’s Monolith. We recommendfollowing the main storylineto get the recommended order of anchors; that way you aren’t at a location too early.
If you areunable to activate a Rift Anchor, you most likelyhaven’t finished the previous region. Go back and verify that you’ve beaten the boss and finished the appropriate quests.
