Final Fantasy 14’s Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga came to a close in the last expansion, Endwalker. This means Dawntrail is the start of a brand new story arc for the Warrior of Light, taking them to the distant shores of Tural where they’ll make new acquaintaces as well as reconnect with old friends.

With all those new areas, quests, and exciting things to see, you might be wondering exactly how long it takes to complete the new Main Scenario Quest campaign, so we’ve got everything you need to know right here.

How Long Does It Take To Beat Dawntrail?

According tohowlongtobeat.com, the average playthrough of the Main Scenario Campaign is34 hours. This time varies depending on how quickly you race through the MSQ and how often you get sidetracked, with the average time to complete accounting for some extras clocking in at38 hours.

If you choose to skip the cutscenes and not actually watch the events unfold, your playthrough will bemuchquicker, though you won’t fully understand what is happening of course so I wouldn’t recommend this.

Of course, if you want to do that, you may always rewatch any cutscenes you skipped from any inn room.

Part of progressing through the campaign involves completing dungeons and trials. Sometimes queuing for these can eat up a chunk of time, especially if you’re queuing as DPS. If you don’t want to wait, you can always complete these duties with NPCs to help move things along a little faster.
