Every player gets a chance to build a base on a plot of land they own inOnce Human. By laying your territory down on free space, you will be able to create any sort of structure you’d like to serve as your base.

The base you build on your territory will give you an area to store materials, craft items, and to create a homey space. You can build a base of varying styles and types using the resources available around you. With the multiple options available when base building, from the materials used to the furniture style, you can create a unique territory that suits your playstyle perfectly.

How To Build On Your Territory

Once you’ve picked a spot to call your territory, you’ll be able to build a base. You’ll need toenter build modeto get started.

By default, you’ll need tohit ‘B’ on your keyboardto enter build mode.

In build mode, you’ll be able tocreate and tear down structures on your territory. You’ll also be able to enter’Flight Mode’in order to freely take a look around your territory using just your camera.

To see the various structures, facilities, and furniture available to you,open the build menu by right-clickingwhile in build mode.

You will first need tolay down a foundationin order to get started on your structure. You won’t be able to set anything down without placing it on a foundation.

Structures

This includes all the parts needed to shape your base. You’ll find thefoundation, ceiling, wall, attachment, and roof optionsin this tab.

Facilities

This is where you’re able to find all the utilities you’ll need for your base. Variouscrafting tables and production facilitiescan be found under this tab.

Furniture

This is where all thedecorative items and basic home furniturecan be found.

Prints

This tab containsprints that can be used to re-skin the various surfacesthat frame your house.

House Blueprint

This tab is where yourblueprints are saved and where building presetscan be found.

Everything you build on your territory will require materials of varying amounts. You’ll want tospend some time gathering stacks of building materialsbefore getting started on creating your base.

As long as it’s within your territory, you’re able to build a structure as simple or as complex as you want it to be. You can expand the size of your territory byunlocking the option in the Memetics menu.

Youcannot build on top of a road or another structure. you’re able to build on top of resources, but these will get destroyed in the process.

You have the option tomove your territoryif you ever want a change of view.The entire base you’ve built will be moved to the new territoryyou decide to claim.

How To Unlock New Building Options

Not all building options will be available to you at the start. You will need tounlock new ones in the Memetics menu.

You’ll find most of the structures needed for the frame of your base under the’Building' tabof your Memetics screen.

When it comes to the utilities you need to install, unlock the branches under the’Logistics' tab. The various workbenches for crafting essential tools and items can be found under the’Crafting' tab.

Memetics can be unlocked usingMeme Points and Energy Links.

Meme Points are earned every time youlevel up, secure a new Deviation, and accomplish Season Goals.

Energy Links can be obtained fromclearing out dungeons, completing commissions, and accomplishing exploration tasks.

How To Use Building Presets

If you’re able to’t be bothered to create an entire base from scratch, you have the option touse a building preset.

Under the ‘House Blueprint’ tab of your build menu, you’ll find a’Presets' tab.

The presets available here are of varying shapes and sizes. You even have access topresets using vehicles, but you will first need a vehicle to use them on.

you’re able to easily set one downif you have the materials neededto make the entire design. The materials are listed when you check out the description of each preset.

You can change the structure style of a preset bychecking out the different options under ‘Material Replacement’. From the default building materials, you can switch up the resources used to change the look of your preset.

You will need different resourceswhen you switch the materials used in a preset.

The presets don’t include any facilities or furniture, butthe entire exterior and interior frame of the building is complete. You can even set down multiple copies of a structure if they can fit on your territory.

Once you’re happy with one of the available presets, you canset it down by clicking the ‘House Blueprint’ optionin the lower-right corner of the description screen.
