You are a meta-human that is thrust into a hostile Stardust-polluted world inOnce Human. As a survivor in this horror MMORPG, your journey will have you completing tasks, quests, commissions, and clearing various dungeons in order to uncover the many secrets of the world.
In order to become sturdier against the dangerous mobs and treacherous environments, you will need to gain access to different technologies and special abilities. These come in the form of Memetics and Cradle Override features. Unlocking the various Memetic branches will allow you to create new things and equipping Cradle Override features will enhance your abilities.
Memetics And Cradle Explained
The Memetics Cradle screen can be accessed byhitting ‘O’on your keyboard.
On the left side of the main menu, you can see how manyCiphersyou have available to use forunlocking Memetics.
Ciphers are also known asMeme Points. These are the points needed to unlock new Memetics.
The right side of the Memetics Cradle main menu will show youhow many slots in your Cradle are availableand how many features you’ve already equipped.
The Memetics Menu Explained
Click on ‘Memetics’ to open up the entire Memetics menu. Here, you’ll see the variousbranches of technologies that you can unlock.
Details
Infrastructure
This branch is where you can unlock the ability tomake better tools and to detect resources better. You can also unlock items that will improve your resource collection abilities.
Crafting
This branch contains variouscrafting recipes for combat items. This includes weaponry, armour, and healing items.
Logistics
This branch contains technologies foressential utilities needed on your base. You’ll find cooking, water collection, farming, electricity, and Deviant storage technologies here.
Building
This branch is for overallterritory improvement. You can unlock technologies for base support, storage, defense, and vehicles here.
The upper-left corner of your screen is where you’ll find the link to theMemetic Specialization menu. These specializations grantunique buffsthat improve your performance in the four different Memetics branches.
The Memetic Specialization buffs granted to youdiffer from other players. This encouragesteaming up with othersin order to complement another’s abilities.
You will definitely bring something unique to the table with theset of powers you have.
You can unlock a new Memetic Specialization forevery five levels you gain. In total, you’ll be able to unlock up toten Memetic Specialization buffs.
The Cradle Menu Explained
When you open the Cradle menu, you’ll see a list ofavailable Cradle Override featureson the left. On the right, you’ll see the nodes where you’ll be inserting those features.
Hovering over each node will reveal how to unlock them. Some will requireclearing a dungeon, while others will require you todefeat a boss. Once it’s unlocked, the node will be empty.
The Cradle Override features are unlocked in two ways. you’re able to eitherreach a certain character levelor you can wait for thenext seasonal phase to begin.
These features will give your charactera powerful buff when equipped, and you can choose a combination of features that suit your playstyle best.
How To Unlock And Use Memetics
You can’t unlock everything under the different Memetics branches right away. You will need tostart from the top of each branch, and make your way down in order to unlock the more complex and powerful Memetics.
The different branches are also segmented into different stages. Some of the latter stages will only be unlockedwhen the season reaches a certain point.
Make sure to view the details of each stage so you canprioritize Memetics that can already be unlocked.
You’ll see which Memetics are linked to each other byfollowing the connections under each branch. You can view the details of the latter Memetics to see what you should prioritize early on.
Unlocking new Memetics will require a certain amount ofCiphers or Meme Points and Energy Links.
How To Earn Meme Points
Meme Points can be earned byleveling your character up, completingSeason Goals, and by acquiringnew Deviations.
To view the current list of Season Goalshit ‘Esc’ then click on the server bannerin the upper right corner of the menu. The second tab you’ll see on top is’Season Goals’.
Heading to this tab will show you the different scenarios available for the season. you may see how manytotal Meme Pointsyou can obtain per scenario byclicking on the gift boxes.
You will need to complete a variety of tasks that will give youMistuko’s Marks. As you accumulate these, you canearn a star levelthat will grant you Meme Points.
In the same menu, you’ll find the different Deviations available for the season under the’Season Info' tab. They are listed under’Features', and you can see what abilities each can grant.
How To Obtain Energy Links
Energy Links can be earned when youclear dungeons, complete tasks, and do quests.
Hitting ‘J’on your keyboard will open up your’Journey’menu. You’ll see all the beginner tasks you can perform, and each will reward you with Energy Links.
The ‘Tasks’ tab can also be found at the top of this menu. Heading there will revealall your available missions. Clicking on each will reveal how much Energy Links will be rewarded to you upon completion of the task.
To easily keep track of a task,click ‘F’ or press the ‘Track Task’ buttonwhile the task is open.
This will have your task details displayed in the upper-left corner of your screen, andthe next destination will be marked on your map.
You can alsohit ‘M’ to open your mapand view all the available dungeons and areas to explore in the region. Hovering over each will reveal theEnergy Links that you can receive as a reward for clearing the area.
How To Use The Cradle
A set offour Cradle Override featureswill unlock for everyten levels you gainor when the next seasonal phase starts.
You can see what features are available, even if you haven’t unlocked them yet. Simplyhover over the icons of any featureyou’d like to check out to see the complete details of the buff it grants.
You can equip a feature as long as you have a slot available on yourCradle. You canpress ‘F’ to equip itand you can alsodrag it to a node sloton your Cradle.
The Cradle Override features you equip are not permanent. you may test out the different features andswitch out the ones you’re not happy with.
you’re able to easily replace a feature on your Cradle bydragging different one on top of it.
You can level up easily bycompleting tasks, commissions, and defeating enemies. Keepexploring new areasso that you can unlock more tasks to do andgain EXP quickly as a reward.
The easiest way to unlock new nodes on your Cradle is to simplyprogress through the main storyline. Open your ‘Tasks’ menu, then check out the’Follow The Stardust’tab. You’ll find the quests pertaining to the main story listed there.
