If you’ve played other gacha games before, you’re likely already aware of the general mechanics used by these games to incentivize you to log in every day.Zenless Zone Zeroalso has these mechanics in the form of Errands, which are daily commissions, and the Battery Charge system.
The Battery Charge is far more important than you might think, as it’ll be the main source for you to get all the materials required to build a character. With that in mind, it’s also important to spend this resource at the right place according to your level.

How Battery Charge Works
Battery Charge is essentially a stamina-type mechanic in Zenless Zone Zero, and it has a maximum capacity of 240. You start the game with 240 Charge, and whenever it’s lower than that, you’re able to gain one charge every six minutes. It’s highly recommended to spend your Battery Charge as soon as you unlock the basic training.
If your Battery Charge stays on cap, you’re essentially losing out on abunch of Inter-Knot EXP, other EXP materials, and the overall growth of your account. On the other hand, if you run out of Charge, you can also use Ether Battery or Polychrome to recharge it, though the latter isn’t recommended if you’re an F2P or low-spending player.

If you want to be efficient with your account, it’s best tosave your Ether Battery until Inter-Knot level 50.
This is when you get the highest tier of training unlocked, giving you the most rewards.
Where To Spend Your Battery Charge
Now that you understand the basics of Battery Charge, it’s also important to knowwhere you should spend it depending on your current level. Here’s a general priority of the best use of your Charge:
Below level 35
Level 45 onwards
While it’s a priority tobuild at least three characters, you’ll eventually need six of themif you want to beat Shiyu Defense.
However, if you have two to three good DPS units, youdon’t have to fully upgrade your supportto get past this content.
