Summary
House of the Dragonseason two will come to an explosive and fiery end on Sunday night. War is raging over who should be sitting on the Iron Throne, in typicalGame Of Thronesstyle lots of characters are now gone forever, and I’d hazard to guess a few more will say goodbye during the second season’s final episode. Perhaps even a couple of the characters who will be getting newFunko Popsonce season two has come to an end.
I don’t know that for sure at this stage, of course. Perhaps the three new Funko Pops modeled after characters from the show have foreshadowed not only who will survive Sunday’s finale, but also which house is going to win the war, or at least finish the season on top. Funko hasn’t officially shown off the new figures yet, but Funko Pop News revealed the first high-quality image of them, and they’re all members of Rhaenyra’s House Black.
Not only that, but all three Pops are wearing black and scarlet attire to show their support for the true heir to The Iron Throne. One of them is the Queen herself, Rhaenyra. Hands clasped over her stomach making the Pop look like it’s standing around waiting, something she has been forced to do a lot during season two. Rhaenyra’s oldest son Jacaerys joins her, a character who has been just as frustrated at being held back throughout House of the Dragon’s second season.
Bend The Knee For The True Queen’s Next Funko Pop
Rounding out the trio of new Pops is Baela Targaryen. Fitting that these three will be revealed and released together as Baela has been the go-to for Rhaenyra and Jacaerys as the mother and son have become increasingly frustrated with one another. Baela is also adorned in scarlet and black, making these three figures feel like a set. There’s a chance they’re available as a set, although it seems more likely you will have to buy them individually. They’re not available yet but should go on sale next week once the season two finale has aired.
Even though this is the first time we’ve had a proper look at the new Pops, the fact that House Black figures were coming was revealed by the boxes ofthe prior wave of House of the Dragon Funko Pops. Alicent, Criston Cole, Daemon, and Rhaenys on her dragon Maela were all turned into Funko Pops for the first time this season, and images of the three new Pops coming next week were included on their packaging.
