Summary
Every time there’s a notable video game showcase of any description,Hollow Knightfans convince themselves this will be the one during whichSilksongresurfaces and finally gets a release date. Sometimes it doesn’t even take a showcase. The mention of the sequel out of nowhere or new merch can be enough to convince some an announcement is coming. Hence the belief by the few who still have faith that a new pin pack is finally the sign we’ve been waiting for.
Hornet is in the first Hollow Knight but will be the protagonist in Silksong. Hence why the character is front and center of the little we’ve seen of Silksong so far, and it’s also why she’s the subject of this new pin set. The set, which is available now through Fangamer, features a pin with Hornet flying on her needle, and a smaller Cogfly pin that comes with it.

Just to confirm this is official Silksong merch and not attached to the first game, the name of the sequel is right there on the packaging. This time last year, perhaps even as recently as a few months ago, the release of this set would have been enough to convince all Hollow Knight fans that an announcement was right around the corner. A quick visit tothe Hollow Knight subreddit, where these pins have already been discussed at length, shows the fandom is feeling pretty hopeless, and almost no one believes this set’s reveal is indicative of anything.
Maybe A Silksong Pin Set Will Make Everything Better
Hollow Knight: Silksong Hornet Pin Pack
Pinverse’s Hollow Knight: Silksong set includes two pins. The larger of the two is Silksong’s protagonist Hornet riding her needle, and alongside her is a smaller Cogfly pin.
This isn’t the first bit of official Silksong merch to be released despite there being no indicator of when the game will be here. Almost exactly one year ago, back when Hollow Knight fans still had a little bit of hope left,Good Smile released a Hornet Nendoroid. Like the pin set, the figure could have been passed off as Hollow Knight merch rather than something specifically connected to its sequel, however, the Silksong logo was right there on the packaging, eliminating any doubt.
