Summary

Geoff Keighley got out ahead of expectations before Gamescom’s Opening Night Live by letting anyone hoping for news onHollow Knight: Silksongthatthe sequel would not be a part of the presentation. Smart when you don’t have Silksong news to share as a lack of it, even when it isn’t promised, will taint what will be a part of the show. Despite continued radio silence on the Silksong front, Fangamer continues to add Hollow Knight merch to its growing collection.

Fangamer has a lot of official Hollow Knight merch, and joining it is a Hollow Knight plush. DubbedTheHollow Knight Plush, presumably because it’s the lead character from the first game who doesn’t have a name and simply goes by the Hollow Knight, and not a proclamation that this is the definitive Hollow Knight plush. It’s a pretty great plush either way, standing at almost 16 inches tall and available right now despite no firm release date for when the character will return via Silksong.

The Hollow Knight Plush

Joining the plush on Fangamer is a Portraits Of Hallownest desk mat. The mat features a repeating pattern of portraits depicting characters who call Hallownest, the backdrop for the first game, home. Hornet is among them, a character confirmed to play a big role in Silksong whenever it arrives. In fact, the last bit of new Hollow Knight merch that dropped at Fangamer wasa Hornet pin pack that features the character riding a needlealongside a smaller Cogfly pin.

Who Even Needs Silksong With Merch Like This Right?Right?

The Hornet pin pack reveal came too late to convince Hollow Knight fans hungry for any news on the sequel to latch onto it. The Nendoroid, however, sparked a belief that news was coming. Even though Hornet hasn’t had their moment in the spotlight yet, the figure sold out very quickly and has remained unavailable ever since. How quickly the figure sold out is an indicator, as if you needed one, of just how much people are desperate to know what’s going on with Silksong.

The Hollow Knight Plush

Fangamer’s Hollow Knight plush is a soft toy version of the hit indie game’s lead character. The nail it comes with attaches to Hollow Knight’s hands magnetically, and the plush’s limbs are posable.

We might not be getting Hollow Knight news at Gamescom, but we do know some of the games that will be making an appearance.
