It’s been a little while sinceHelldivers 2got a new Warbond, with the Viper Commandos Warbond having been released around a month ago. Right before the release of the last Warbond, game developer Arrowhead explained that it wouldstart taking a little bit more time to work on Warbonds, most likely due tothe negative reception of the Polar Patriots Warbondthat was released back in May.
Warbonds used to be released on a monthly schedule, but the time frame between them is now up in the air due to that particular announcement, and there’s a lot of hope among the Helldivers 2 community that Arrowhead takes the time it needs to create a great Warbond this time around. That means the excitement for this Warbond is a little greater than any other, though PlayStation looks to have accidentally lifted the lid on that particular surprise.
First spotted ansd shared by Reddit users, a new message from PlayStation that was presumably meant to tempt people into picking up the Viper Commandos Warbonds appears to have the wrong description. Instead, the description describes the contents of the “Freedom’s Flame Premium Warbond,” which hasn’t actually been added to the game just yet.
Helldivers 2’s Next Warbond Is Called Freedom’s Flame
Of course, with it just being a description, we can’t actually see the things that will be included in the Warbond, but we do know that it will contain “fiery weapons, life-saving armour, cool capes, fresh emotes, player cards and patterns.” What those might include is anyone’s best guess, but we can obviously tell that it’s a Warbond themed around fire, sowe could possibly get some new fire weaponsor flameproof armor.
Arrowhead hasn’t yet revealed when it’s going to drop its next Warbond, but the accidental reveal of a description of it must suggest it’s going to drop pretty soon. All we can do is sit tight and wait until we get an official announcement for more details, and lets keep our fingers crossed that this one is a bit more substantial than Arrowhead’s previous attempts.
