Helldivers 2is getting a new difficulty option, with the next update letting players choose to take on missions at level 10. This will be part of the “Escalation of Freedom” update, which will drop on August 6.
Looking at the preview, this looks set to be the biggest Helldivers 2 update yet. On top of the new difficulty, we’re also getting new enemies, including the Impaler, a tentacle creature from the first Helldivers game. Couple that with level 10 difficulty, and it looks like the devs want to give players a new challenge
Details On Helldivers 2’s Next Major Update Revealed
The devs aren’t saying much about the new difficulty option, only that they’ve really “ramped it up” from level nine, the current hardest difficulty. They also say that the next level will put us up against more enemies than ever before, so it’ll probably be much easier to find yourselves swarmed if you’re not paying attention.
On top of the other features that have been announced for the major update - more enemies, bigger enemy outposts, new mission objectives, etc - there are some additions that aren’t being revealed just yet. So, we’ll just have to wait until August 6 and take on some missions ourselves to find out what’s going on there. Who knows? Maybe it will add thedatamined mission that revolved around protecting the president of Super Earth.
