The update, whichnerfed flamethrowersand added inpretty useless anti-tank mines, has been controversial with fans since it dropped. The community responded immediately,flooding Helldivers 2 with negative Steam reviewsas it did previously during the PSN debacle. This hasn’t stopped since then, with only 50 percent of the recent reviews being positive.

“Should rename this game to Nerfdivers 2 at this point,” reads one review. “A shame really, on release it was fun but got worse and worse with every patch because of the nerfs.”
On Reddit, players are encouraging each other to continue piling on the pressure, hoping that this will make Arrowhead act.
At the very least, Arrowhead is aware that fans are unhappy. Speaking in the Discord, the community was told thatthere have been “a lot of internal discussions"about this, as the devs hope to win over fans once more. There was no word on how this issue will be addressed, or when we can expect to see changes, but it does show that the fans have been heard. In the meantime though, the negative reviews are still coming in.
