In the previous chapter,you faced very challenging enemy types and even difficult god battles while collecting Countess Ulara’s books. Later, the Countess rewarded you for your kindness by giving you the word needed to progress. To reachCryptmaster’s goal, there are still a few more obstacles to overcome.
One of these obstacles is Downwood. Although it is not as long as Bonehouses or Sunken Sea, there are more challenging enemies here. Additionally, as you are getting closer to the surface, you will encounter many Paladins. If you are determined to overcome Downwood, this guide has been prepared for you!
How To Find The Helmet For Nix
The main goal of this chapter, just likein the Bonehouses chapter, is to find specific items for all four of your party members. To pass through the Eyestone Door in this chapter and to impersonate the Paladins, you need tofind a HELMET for each of your four heroes.Finding these helmets is the primary objective of this chapter.
At the end of the previous chapter, you reached the LADDER by writing OBSERVATORY, and now you find yourself in Downwood. As soon as you arrive here, proceed straight ahead and you will see ORTHOS. The first thing you should do is talk to him.
While talking to him,mention the HELMET,and then be polite bysaying PLEASE. He will ask for your names, andyou should type JORO.He will then give you a HELMET for NIX.
How To Find The Helmet For Joro
After talking to ORTHOS,proceed to the right and you will see a Page Fragment.Also, before leaving the room, there is a riddle skull on the left side, andits answer is NAME.
Now you can move to the next room. As soon as you enter, there will be aCHEST on your left.After taking it, proceed a bit further, and to theright of the first lanternyou see,there is another CHEST.On the left side of the room, between the pillars, there is a pond that is very rich in fish.
When you proceed to the right side of the room, you willfind a rat merchant selling one of the HELMETs you need.Don’t forget to buy it for 100 Souls. This way, you’ll also give JORO a helmet, leaving you with two more to find.
Additionally, on the left side, there is another merchant selling a WHATEVER card, but it’s very expensive. Before moving to the next room, there is a riddle skullbehind the wooden building, and itsanswer is NONE.Now you can proceed to the next room.
How To Find The Helmet For Syn
As soon as you enter this room,there is a riddle skull on the left, and itsanswer is ANCHOR.Further in the room, there is an ALTAR. On this ALTAR, you learn valuable information about the game’s lore and Cryptmaster, as well as where you need to go next and about the fifth hero who was once part of your team.
If you proceed to theleft of where the ALTAR is, you will see a CHEST.Now, go to the next room through the door on theright side of the ALTAR.
The place you need to go now is thedoor marked MINES on your map.Write LEVER and go down. Before entering the exit door, there is apage fragment in the dead-end road behind.Proceed to the next room. In this room, the road splits to the left and right. Go right, and you will see a locked door. Thepassword for it is BUTT.
In the room behind the locked door, you willsee a dead body on the ground, and from it, you canfind a HELMET for SYN.Now you only have one more helmet left to find for MAZ. There is also ariddle skull behind the dead body, and itsanswer is ENVELOPE.
How To Find The Helmet For Maz
Now leave this room andproceed to the door you didn’t go throughin the previous room. Before entering that door,there is a riddle skull on the right, and itsanswer is RECORD.Enter the next room, and there isanother riddle skull further right in the watery area, and itsanswer is UP. On the left side of the entrance of the room, there is a CHEST.
Leave this room and go to the door marked DOWNWOOD on your map. As soon as you start, there isa riddle skull on your right, and itsanswer is MAGCAN.Just a bit further from the beginning on the left, there is a BOX. This room will split into three paths: straight, left, and right. You need togo to the right.
In the next room, proceed straight ahead, and this room will split into three paths as well. Here,go straight and enter the door in front of you.In this watery area, you willsee another dead body, and from it, you willfind the last HELMET you were looking for. By giving MAZ a helmet, you have now found all the helmets you were looking for.
This area is abundant with fish, so farm them if you need Souls.
Leave this room andgo to the room marked GATE on your right.
How To Deceive Eyestone Door
In the upcoming sections, you will encounter some Paladins.Do not touch themor allow them to get close enough to greet you. Otherwise,your party members will take damage.
In this room, proceed straight ahead andenter the next room beyond the CAULDRON.You will arrive in a large room filled with Paladins.On the right side of the room, there is a CHEST. Now you can move to the next room.
A large Eyestone Door awaits you. You need to deceive it just likein the first chapter. The first question it will ask is which squad you are in, andyou should answer FOUR.Answer its other questions as well. Finally, it will ask you for a password. Since there are multiple passwords, you need tofind this by fighting.
Make sure touse skills with as many different lettersas possible.Make use of MAZ’s healing abilitiesand attempt to extend the battle to find the word. In this guide, the correct answer was PALINDROME.
