The adventures of the four heroes resurrected by the spooky and funny necromancer inCryptmasterare not limited to just the first chapter of the game, Crypt. That chapter can be considered more of an intro. The real adventure awaits in the game’s second chapter, Bonehouses.

This chapter features a much larger map compared to the previous one, and you’ll encounter rats, frogs, and various mysterious characters. Escaping from Bonehouses to ascend further won’t be easy because you need to present yourself as a noble. For this, you’ll need to do some grave robbing. If you’re ready, the adventure of your undead party continues from where it left off.

The party is fighting against a flying fish monster in Cryptmaster.

Use ‘BRIDGE’ To Reach Bonehouses

First, you’ll find yourself next to a well. At this stage, there’s nothing else you can do but head towards the door ahead. After facing the Bonehouses sign, there’s nothing on the left side that you can interact with. Move to the right, and you’ll see a flying fish-like creature patrolling. Remember, this type of creaturedoesn’t get knocked back.

Kill the creature, and while standing on the logs over the water, you’ll notice thepath splits into two. For now, turn left, where there will be another patrolling flying fish creature. At this moment, there’s nothing in this room you can interact with.Exit the room, turn left, and go through the door.

A rat guard stops the party when they are about to reach Bonehouses in Cryptmaster.

After proceeding a bit further,a rat guard will stop youand ask for the reason of your visit. At this stage, you can say BUSINESS or PLEASURE. Then, he will ask about your profession; at this point, you canrespond with EXPLORERor something similar. The guard will ask if you’ve been involved in any anti-rat activities, to which you should reply NO.

He will then ask if you are carrying any sharp or bladed weapons, to which you should also reply NO. For the last question, the guard will ask you to rate how helpful he has been. You cananswer with TEN or ELEVEN.After finishing your conversation with the rat guard,type BRIDGE to cross to the other side.

The party is moving towards to an altar in Cryptmaster.

Pass The Eyestone Guarding The Tomb

After crossing, you will see some other rats wandering around. Continue straight and go through the wooden door. As you proceed, you will see an Altar on the left. Just like in the first chapter, you need to destroy this Altar witha command like DESTROY.

After destroying the Altar, turn your back to it, take a step forward, and turn left. Speak to the rat you see aheadby typing CHAT.He will ask for yourhelp to find his son, Ratty,who is lost in the Swamps. For now, you have more important tasks to complete before finding that rat’s son, but you will definitely go to find him before finishing this chapter.

The party is heading towards to a room that has Bonehouses sign on it in Cryptmaster.

After talking to him, enter the door next to him labeled ‘Bonehouses’. Here,you will have three new places to go: Tower, Swamps, and Tombs.

When you try to enter the Tower, you will be stopped andasked if you are Royalty.Even if you say yes, you won’t be believed and will be told that the only Royalty known are those buried in the Tombs. Therefore, your options are either Tombs or Swamps.

A guard rat stops the party and asks them if they are royalty or not in Cryptmaster.

The main goal of this chapter is to become Royalty, and to achieve this, there are tasks you need to complete in both the Tombs and the Swamps.

When you go to the Tombs section, move forward a bit from the entrance, thenturn left to see a rat named FINK in a cage.You can ask him how to pass the Eyestone door in this room by typing DOOR. He will tell you tosay ‘ROBBERY’ to the Eyestone.End the conversation by typing LEAVE, and go to the Eyestoneat the other end of the room.

The party meets a caged rat named Fink in Cryptmaster.

It will ask you the reason for entering the Tombs, and if you answer ‘ROBBERY’ as Fink suggested,it will not accept you, and you will hear FINK laughing in the background. Talk to him again, and he will tell you that he can give you the real answer to pass the Eyestone Door, but first,you need to play a card game called ‘WHATEVER’with him.

The game is quite simple. You canselect two adjacent lettersfrom the ones shown below, and the cards with the selected letters willreduce your opponent’s health by their attack value.

If you complete all the letters on one of your cards,the special effect written on it will be activated.Once a card’s letters are fully completed, the card is discarded and replaced by a new one. The game continues until eitheryour or your opponent’s health drops to zero.

You can play the WHATEVER card game with Cryptmaster or some NPCs that have card icons above their heads.

After the card game, FINK will tell you that theword you need to say to pass the Eyestone is ‘TRIBUTE’.Saying this word will allow you to bypass the Eyestone and proceed.

Once you pass the Eyestone, instead of going through the door ahead, turn back, turn left when you see the stairs in front of you, and follow the path. At the end of the path, you will find a chest waiting for you.

The party is approaching a chest in Cryptmaster.

Starting from Chapter Two, the contents of all chests are randomized, so it’s impossible to know what’s inside them. Similarly, chests might contain mimics.

Go to the door behind the Eyestone. Inside, although it seems like you can go in two directions, you cannot pass through the crack in the wall by going straight past the Danger sign;you need a word for that.To obtain the Crowns needed to enter the Tower, you will need tovisit the tombs of four different Kings and Queens.

Obtain The Crown Of Auros

First go right from the Danger sign andproceed to AUROS’s tomb chamber.When you reach his door, you will find it locked with a four-letter code. If you asked FINK about Auros, he would have told you a story about him, mentioning that Auros thought he could fly and jumped from a high tower. Because of this,the code is BIRD.

Enter the code and proceed through the door. After a bit of walking, you will see a door you’re able to turn right into or continue straight ahead. Enter thedoor on the right.A BOX will be waiting for you here.

After taking it, proceed and turn right toreach a large room.Here, you will face three skeletons and a flying fish, and a battle awaits you. After defeating all the monsters, don’t forget toopen the Trunk located between the two staircasesin the middle of the room.

Then proceed to the door at theother end of the room that you haven’t gonethrough yet. After defeating the slime in this room, you will see a coffin and a recess with water in the middle of the room, between the two staircases. There will be a skull there. When you talk to it, it will always ask you a riddle. The correctanswer is ‘INCORRECTLY’.

Afterward, turn your back to the skull you destroyed and proceed straight without turning. At the end of the corridor, you will see a CHEST. Now, there’s only one room left for you to go. Turn back andgo through the door with the torches beside it.

This room is AUROS’s chamber, where two skeletons are wandering. You can defeat them if you wish. AUROS will ask you which word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it. The correctanswer to this riddle is ‘SHORT.‘Thus, after solving this puzzle, you will have found a crown that NIX can wear.

Obtain The Crown Of Marta

To continue the Crown quest, return to the starting room of the Tombs where you left off and return to the sectionwith the crack in the wall that you couldn’t passthrough. All you need to do to pass through here is totype CRAWL.After that, you’re able to proceed straight in the new area or turn left to enter MARTA’s tomb.

When you ask FINK about MARTA, he will say ‘Hazy as a swamp-fog’.Additionally, at the door, Cryptmaster will say to you, ‘Wisdom is a foggy concept’.After all this talk of fog, it becomes clear thatthe password is MIST.

Inside, there’s a patrolling skeleton. After defeating it, you willsee a riddle skull on the right side of the room, similar to the one in Auros’s tomb. Theanswer to its riddle is COAL.Be careful when navigating to the other part of the room asthere are spike traps on the floor.

When you first reach the area with traps, if you turn left, you will find a Page Fragment. There arethree bugs on the walls of the cave-like corridorwhere the Page is found. Now leave this area and proceed to the next room through the door.

Continue straight ahead without triggering any traps. Eventually, you willcome to a black mist-covered door.Marta’s riddle to you will be’What can run but cannot walk?'.Theanswer to this is WATER.This way, you will obtain her crown and give it to Maz.

Obtain The Crown Of Edgar

After exiting MARTA’s tomb,turn your back to her door and go left.Defeat the lizard-like enemy, and then you’ll have the option to turn left or right. Here, you’ll find the entrances to the last two tombs you’re looking for: TALIA and EDGAR’s. Enter Edgar’s tomb. Since Edgar’s theme is justice, thepassword to his door is FAIR.

Proceed straight ahead and enter. Inside, there will be a lizard and a flying fish monster; deal with them and open the chest. Then, proceed and open the door. You willenter a very large room with multiple columns.

As soon as you enter the room,stand between the four central columns and turn left, then proceed straight ahead. When you reach the wall, turn left again and you will see another chest. After taking the chest, defeat the monsters in the room andpass through the door at the other end.

Before encountering EDGAR, you will have one final battle with a skeleton. Edgar’s riddle to you will be’What has eyes but can’t see?'.Theanswer to this is NEEDLE.This way, you will have found a crown for Syn as well.

Obtain The Crown Of Talia

The last tomb remaining is TALIA’s, locateddirectly opposite EDGAR’s tomb entrance.When you ask FINK about her, you’ll learn that she loved her coins very much, so thepassword to her door is GOLD.

Once inside, you’llsee the letter ‘B’ hanging on the wall.These letters are crucial and contain the answer Talia seeks. After defeating the flying fish, you’ll see that thesecond letter is ‘O’.In the corridor where the skeleton roams, you’llfind the third letter, D.Further down the same corridor, you’ll find the fourth letter, D again.

As you proceed to the fifth letter, if you turn right, you’ll find a Riddle Skull in a watery area. Theanswer to its riddle is JUGGLES.Now you can see the fifth and final letter, which is also O. Proceed through the last corridor and enter Talia’s throne room.

Talia will ask you what kept her young in life; if you rearrange the letters you saw in her tomb to form a sentence,the answer will be BLOOD.This way, you’ll have found the last crown you were looking for, and Joro will wear it.

Go To The Swamps Area

The first thing you need to do now is to go to the Swamps. As soon as you enter the Swamps and proceed straight ahead, you willsee a chest in front of the mushrooms.

Then, turn yourback to the corridor leading to West Swampsand you will see a cage on the left. To the left of that cage, there will bea Page Fragment above the water.First, go to the door labeled ‘West Swamps’.

Once inside, turn left, defeat the Slime and other enemies, and at the end of this area, you willfind another Riddle Skull.The answer to its riddle is LIGHTNING. Now, go to the door opposite Bonehouses door on your map. This is a lantern-lit and dark area. Finish off the numerous monsters here.

There are two Riddle Skulls in this room. The first one is after entering this room,before entering the corridor leading to the exit door, turn left and proceed through the water. You will see it when you turn right. The answer to this skull’s riddle is DARKNESS.

The other skull is after entering the room, turn left,climb onto the wooden platform, and proceed. When you turn left again, you will see it. The answer to this skull’s riddle is TEAPOT.

Now you can leave this dark port. When you arrive, the path will split into three: one leading to the Palace, one to the Slime Pits, and one to Bonehouses. First,next to the door leading to the Palace, you will find a Page Fragment.

In the area leading to Bonehouses, you will find a Guard Rat whom you can talk to.Behind his shack, you will find another Riddle Skull. Theanswer to its riddle is MAP.

Enter The Goggo’s Palace

What you need to do now is go back and enter the area on your mapwith the door labeled SLIME PITS.Here you will see an injured rat. It will warn you about the dangers ahead. After proceeding, you will see a room filled with slimes.

In this room, before passing under the wooden platform to reach the exit, there is a Riddle Skull to the left. Theanswer to its riddle is SECRET.After solving the riddle, go to the exit of the room. A large slime will be waiting for you.

In this room, go to the doorthat does not have Swamps written on it.There will be a code on it, and the answer is TOOL. Honestly, there isn’t much to collect in this room besides a chest.

Leave this room and go to the areaon your map labeled ‘To Swamps.‘In this location, you will find a poster with MARRIAGE written on it on a pole, take it. Behind the poster, you will see a hole in the wall; when you approach the Beam section there,type DUCK, and you will find a box in that area. Proceed to the area labeled ‘To Palace’ on your map.

Before moving forward, don’t forget todestroy the ALTAR on your rightand heal. When you enter the Palace section, you will immediately see a riddle skull on your right. Theanswer to the riddle is the letter M.

In this corridor, you will encounter an armored enemy for the first time, so be prepared and use Joro’s armor-breaking skill if he has learned it. After the battle,don’t forget to open the box in the tunnel on your rightbefore reaching the exit of the room. This new room is filled with toad monsters, and there is a riddle skull on the left. The answer to its riddle is THREE.

You can now enter the Toad Palace. You will see signs with the words ‘News’ on the entrance columns of the palace. In the next room, you will see the letters N, E, W, and S above the doors leading to the four directions. Enter the roomsin the order of N, then E, then W, and finally S.After entering the last room, you will reach a long corridor.

In the next room, you will encounter GOGGO, the king of the toads. At the end of your conversation with him, he will ask what you came to talk about. Earlier, you had taken a MARRIAGE poster with Goggo’s picture on it, soyou should answer MARRIAGE.After the conversation, Goggo will ask you to describe yourself. At this stage,say DEAD.

Goggo will then ask you to add a potion to his bath as the final ritual before the wedding.Go back to the previous roomand you will need to make either Lovejuice or Sleepjuice in the CAULDRON you saw there. However, you will not have enough ingredients.

Find Ratty’s Hidden Treasure

First, teleport back to Bonehouses. Then, re-enter the Swamps. This time, instead of going to West Swamps,proceed straight to the room labeled only ‘Swamps’on your map. After that, go to the room labeled ‘To Palace.’ Beyond this room,there will be a room named ‘Fishing Pools’; you need to go there.

When you arrive at this room, you will see a fisherman rat at the table;talk to him.He will ask if you are interested in fishing; say YES. He will ask you to offer him something in exchange for a fishing rod;say NOTHING.

Now, just like with the bugs, you can catch fish by typing their names when you get close to them. Additionally, at theback of the room where you fish, there is a Riddle Skull. Its answer is ORANGE. Also, to the left of the door leading to Fishing Pools, there is a Page Fragment.

Now, if you remember, when you first arrived at Bonehouses, a rat asked you to find his son. For this,leave the Fishing Pools room.When you exit the room, turn left, and you willsee a door with no name on your map.In this new room, there is a RECEPTACLE in front of a mushroom.

Go to the next room from here. You will find the missing boy. During the conversation, he will ask you what his name is;the answer is RATTY.He will then ask you to find a treasure he has hidden.

For this, leave the room you are in. Exit the next room as well, and when you come to the area with doors leading to other rooms,go towards the door labeled ‘To Palace.’Before entering the door, you will see a white dot on your map to the left of the entrance;go there and type DIG.Return to Ratty, and his quest will be completed.

Make A Diss Track With The Rat King Vitus

Now, aftercatching as many fish and bugs as you canand making one of the two potions with them, you need to return to Goggo. Talk to Goggo andtype LOVEJUICE or SLEEPJUICE.This way, you will receive the certificate from him and become a Noble.

Since you now have both the crowns and the certificate, the only thing left to do isgo to the TOWER.You will be able topass the guard in front of the Tower.Enter. After passing through the long corridor, don’t forget to take the chest in the next room.

In the following room, there will be a chest straight ahead. After taking the chest, continue to the right and you will find a Page Fragment.Pass through the U-shaped roomand proceed to the next room. There, you will see another chest. As you proceed in this room, a rat will stop you and won’t believe you are royal.Type BEHOLDto pass.

In the next room, you won’t be able to use the Elevator and willneed to talk to STEVEN across from it.Just say UP to him. He will then open the door to the room where Rat King Vitus is for you.

Vitus will ask what he can do for you;type UP.During the conversation, he will ask if there is a bard among you, and luckily, there is MAZ. You will need tochoose a rhyming word for the end of Vitus’ lyrics.Some words you can choose are:

This way, Vitus will give you a Vax Cylinder containing the diss track he wrote. Return to the room with Steven, andnow you can use the ELEVATOR.You will reach the room with the LADDER and complete this chapter by using it.
