Summary
FortniteWrecked has been an incredibly controversial season, losing a lot of battle royale players.
The main complaints centre on the mounted weapons you can attach to your vehicles, as well as the Nitro Fists which can quickly close the distance in a gunfight or be used to fly into the air and easily run away when things get tough. They, along withallvehicles, have been completely removed from Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build.

“During All Sweat Summer, Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build will be switching things up a bit! From July 4 to July 18: Vehicles and vehicle items are disabled, including Boss Cars,” the Fortnite Status social account tweeted. “Nitro Fists are also disabled. Characters are no longer hireable, but hostile characters and bosses (and their Medallions) are still present.”
Fortnite Fans Hope That This Is A Sign Of Things To Come
Epic Games has spent this season trying to rebalance the new additions based on feedback from competitive players, only to then annoy the casual players who don’t mind overpowered, broken weapons so long as it’s fun to play.
This resulted ina wealth of nerfs that made vehicles less effective and Nitro Fists less viable which was a positive shift for Ranked but stripped back a lot of what made these new mechanics so engaging for everyone else.
SEPARATE LOOT POOLS WE CAN HAVE FUN WITHOUT SWEATS COMPLAINING.
Having two different loot pools, even if it’s for a limited time, is a step in the right direction. “This is legit a good thing, it’s RANKED only and [they’re] definitely using this as a test in the future,” one Twitter user replied. “Split the loot pools so we don’t get a repeat of this seasons nerfs across all modes”.
“Oh my god they’re testing out separate loot pools for once, begging this gets well received so it ends up becoming a normal thing from now on,” another wrote.
The All Sweat Summer event is live now, so if you want to try out Wrecked without the vehicles and Nitro Fists, give Ranked a go.
