Fortniteis currentlyin the midst of its Chapter 5, Season 4 event, which has seenMarvel’s Doctor Doom do a load of evil things to a number of Marvel luminaries, including the Fantastic Four.
It’s a neat change of pace that’s filled with loads of new character customization options, including emotes. Speaking of emotes, a new “Peel Out” animation has fans giddy with glee. The animation is part of the Peelverine bundle, which sees everyone’s favorite claw-bearing mutant transformed into a banana peel.
That particular emote sees the player character literally “peeling out” on banana peels for skates. It’s a novel idea that has some practical in-game use. In true Fortnite fashion, one player took it upon themselves to see how long it would take to “peel out” across Fortnite’s map.
The end results are glorious.
Why Run, When You Can Peel Out?
Taking to Reddit, user INFINITY–Oficial shared their journey of attempting to “peel out” across the map. The two-minute video showcased the player’s journey, including their unfortunate and sometimes untimely deaths. Complete with some epic music, it took 11 minutes and 55 seconds in total to “peel out” across the entire map.

Another user issued an epic challenge: “Now try doing it in one go. Get killed back to the start.” That would be pretty neat to see, though, it would take some incredible luck. After all, who wouldn’t pass up an easy target?
Either way, this is the sort of awesome content that Fortnite has become known for over the years. Because while the battle royale aspect of the game is wickedly cool, the collaborations, emotes and creativity ultimately win out in the end. Here’s to more unique challenges in the future.
