Disneyis holding its annual D23 expo this weekend, which promises to include a bunch of interesting announcements across the many arms of the company. Of course, one of those arms is gaming, and while Disney has manyMarvelgames currently in development,Kingdom Heartsfans will be crossing their fingers and toes for some kind of update or announcement.
Luckily for them, it seems very possible that they’re about to get one.Fortniteannounced earlier this week thata special segment of the D23 showcase will be livestreamed exclusively in-game, and will reveal “never before seen content.” According to Fortnite insider DaRyo, that content is going to include a Kingdom Hearts collaboration announcement, as well as crossovers with several other Disney owned IPs like Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles.
Of course, these are rumors and best taken with a pinch of salt, especially since DaRyo is relatively unknown in comparison to other Fortnite dataminers and insiders. However, DaRyo’s recent collab claims have been strengthened significantly after what appears to be a Disney Item Store leaked earlier today, something thatDaRyo tweeted about prior to the leak.
Fortnite Might Be Getting A Permanent Disney Item Store
An image of this apparent in-game Disney store wasleaked by reputable insiders Hypex and ShiinaBR, who claim to have been sent the image earlier today. Of course, there’s no way to verify that any of this is real, but it would make a lot of sense for Disney and Epic to work on something like this together, considering the sheer volume of Disney collabs that have happened in the past, whether it beStar Wars, Marvel, or any other properties.
We only have to wait until tomorrow to find out if these are real, as Fortnite’s big D23 livestream will kick off at 11:30PM ET. That’s a pretty late one for almost everyone, but surely Sora’s introduction to Fortnite is worth staying up for, right?
