Summary

Epic Games has announced that skins based on classic animated Disney villains and The Incredibles are coming toFortnitelater this year.

Ever since Battle Royale took the world by storm in 2017,Fortnite has made a name for itself thanks to its seemingly endless number of crossovers and collaborationswith what feels like every series, IP, and brand under the sun (including some we all wish it hadn’t). WhileEpic seems happy to chuck just about anything into Fortnite, there’s one company it likes to work with more than any other -Disney.

From Marvel and Star Wars to Jack Skellington and Pirates of the Caribbean, you’re bound to see something Disney wherever you go in Fortnite. It’s been clear who Fortnite’s favourite is for a while now,but it was made official last year when it was revealed that Disney was investing $1.5 billion into Fortnite, the fruits of which we’ve just seen for the first time at D23.

The Incredibles And Classic Disney Villains Are Coming To Fortnite

After more than one million Fortnite fans spent half an hour waiting for the stream to finally start (shout out to my fellow Brits who are up at 5am),Epic finally shared the first details of its “Disney Universe” on-stage at D23. The details are still a little slim right now, but the collaboration is still in development currently and seems to be focused on bringing Disney and Pixar characters to the world of Fortnite.

The first characters to be announced as part of the collaboration are three classic Disney animated villains that will be coming “this Fall” - Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil. All three have been given a unique design for their appearance in Fortnite that makes them look a little more bit more realistic and rugged than they usually do.

After the Disney Villains were revealed, it was announced that the first Pixar characters coming to Fortnite are Mr Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone from The Incredibles. They haven’t been given a redesign and look just like they do in the movies, so it seems like Pixar characters are going to be more faithful.
