Although Fortnite Chapter 5 started off with one of the biggest bangsthe game hasever seen thanks to Eminem, Peter Griffin, Lego, and Fortnite Festival, it’s fair to say that its most recent seasons have been a little less positively received.Myths and Mortals was controversial for favouring Avatar over its own theme, whileWrecked’s focus on car combat has left players divided.
While it looks like we’ve got plenty of juice left in Chapter 5(especially since the next season’s theme hasn’t been announced yet), it seems that leakers and insiders already have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Fortnite when it eventually hits Chapter 6.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Could Add Swinging And Going Prone
As is almost always the case,the news about Fortnite’s future comes from Twitter user and reliable insider HYPEX. Earlier today, HYPEX shared a list of things that could be coming to the game in Chapter 6 which,according to Jorge_Most_, could begin on December 1 and include a collaboration with NewJeans. Jorge_Most_ also claimed that first-person mode might be added with the new Chapter.
December 1 might seem a little early for a whole new Chapter of Fortnite, but it does track considering Chapter 5 began on July 19, 2025.
Two of the biggest things mentioned in HYPEX’s list of Chapter 6 leaks are swinging and going prone which, if true, would indicate some big changes being made to movement.Rope-swinging has been rumoured to be making its way to Fortnite for some time, which adds some credence to the leak, but the ability to go prone is something that’s only just popped up.
Outside of that, HYPEX also notes that new modes could be introduced at the start of Chapter 6,just like they did last year. There’s no word on what those modes might be, but it is hinted that support for Creative Pets is coming to the game in the future. It’s also said that Chapter 6 could have a “floating islands” theme, which makes a lot of sense if Fortnite is going to introduce swinging.
Unlike usual, HYPEX doesn’t share many details about the leaks and appears to be the primary source for them, but considering how much they’ve gotten right in the past about Fortnite, it seems likely that they’ll come to pass one way or another.
