Summary
Fortnitefans aren’t happy with All Sweat Summer’s minimal number of rewards, with some even saying that it’s proof thatEpicisn’t “trying” for its events anymore.
The sun is shining and the temperature is so hot I want to crawl inside a freezer and live there, so that can only mean one thing -it’s Summer, baby. Not only does that bring ice cream, beach trips, and an overwhelming fear of global warming, but it also means that Fortnite is having its annual Summer event, this time called All Sweat Summer.
Fortnite’s seasonal events are usually a time for celebration for fans, but it seems that All Sweat Summer already isn’t getting the best reception.Epic announced the event, which started yesterday, with little fan-fare, which fans now think is because there isn’t all that much to actually talk about.
Fortnite Fans Aren’t Very Impressed With All Sweat Summer
Although Fortnite’s seasonal events aren’t usually that involved, they do at least have a lot of rewards for players to earn, ranging from gliders and pickaxes to unique skins for characters. That isn’t the case for All Sweat Summer, however, as the reveal confirmedthat it’s only going to have three earnable items.
Those items are a new wrap, a glider, and a ducky backbling, which fans have admitted look great while being massively disappointed by how slim the offerings are.Over on the Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit, Burgerkingoof shared an image of the rewards this year compared to previous events and pointed out that Epic is “not even trying anymore”.
Although the lack of meaningful rewards is the main thing that players are annoyed about, some have also pointed out that there’s not even been a trailer to advertise All Sweat Summer, making it feel a little half-baked.
This Reddit post isn’t the only one that’s bashing the lack of content in All Sweat Summer,as another post by Reasonable_Dog5447 points out just how little is being offeredthis time around compared to previous Summer seasonal events. The comments underneath the Twitter post announcing the rewards are similarly negative, making it clear that there’s a lot of disappointment in the air.
It’s not clear why All Sweat Summer hasn’t got much going on, but it’s a bit of a worrying trend for Fortnite’s Battle Royale events.2023’s Christmas event was also a bit more pared back than usual, with less interesting visuals and rewards. It could be due to Epic having todevelop content for multiple different game modes at once, but that’s not very reassuring for those who mostly play BR.
