Although Fortnite Chapter 5 kicked off with the mightiest of bangs bybringing in Peter Griffin, Lego, Fortnite Festival, and a whole lot more, it’s safe to say that thepast few seasons (Wrecked in particular) haven’t been as well-received by fans. Worry not, though, as we’re just a few days away from Fortnite’s next season, which kicks off on August 16.
To celebrate the end of Wrecked, Fortnite just held a mini-event thatfittingly wrapped up the season with a whole lot of destruction. As always, Epic followed up the mini event with a teaser for the next season, which confirms the long-standing rumours that Chapter 5, Season 4 will be another Marvel crossover.
Fortnite’s Next Season Will Be Themed Around Marvel
As soon as the Wrecked finale finished,the official Fortnite Twitter account shared a brief teaser for Chapter 5 Season 4that confirms that it’s going to be a collaboration with Marvel. The teaser shows a green and silver colour scheme that’s awfully reminiscent of Doctor Doom’s design and says, “Those who wander are not lost. Destruction brings powerful beings”.
Although I’m sure some fans are going to be rolling their eyes at the idea of Marvel taking over Fortnite again, it’s actually been quite a while since the last seasonal crossover,which happened all the way back in Chapter 2.
While it’s nice to see it officially confirmed that Marvel is going to be the main theme of Fortnite’s next season, it doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to Fortnite recently. Epic has been teasing a Marvel crossover for a while now, and it makes sense considering how many collaborations the two have had over the past few seasons.
Interestingly, Chapter 5 Season 4 being a Marvel crossover also confirms yet again that theleaked Fortnite 2024 roadmap that popped up a few months ago was legitimate. That leak also gives more evidence that Doctor Doom will play a role in the season, as he can be seen front and centre on the roadmap.
