Summary
Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrailhas had a relatively smooth launch so far, which is surprising after the server chaos that occurred during the release of Endwalker. Queue times have been fairly low, with people only having to wait around half an hour to get into the game and find duties as a DPS, andthe biggest complaint so far has been the storyrather than anything technical. There are a couple of bugs that have slipped through the cracks though, one of which players are having a lot of fun with.
We’ll be talking about the latter half of Dawntrail’s expansion story from here on out, so if you don’t want minor spoilers, then look away now.
We’ll keep it light on story details to avoid too many spoilers, but in the second half of Dawntrail, players will eventually come across Solution Nine, the expansion’s second major city and probably the complete opposite of Tulliyolal. It’s a city full of high-tech gear, neon lights, and a strange number of invisible, climbable poles.
Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail Fans Are Using A Bug To Float In Solution Nine
If you run through Solution Nine at the moment, chances are you’ll spot various players just floating in midair, who have clambered up these invisible poles and are AFKing for a giggle. We don’t know how many of these poles there are at the minute, but one has been found in the location included aboveby Twitter user hellostal, while a bugged wall has been found near the city’s Aetheryte Plazaby Twitter user Kwehzy.
You’ve already got countless screenshots of people getting up to all sorts up there, whether it be crafting, playing dead, or doing some light gposing, leading to swarms of player characters just floating around Solution Nine. Of course, they’re doing no harm, besides maybe ruining the scenery a little bit, but there’s nothing stopping you from joining the pack and bewildering unsuspecting players yourself.
If you’re planning to get a screenshot of the carnage yourself, chances are you’ll have to be quick. This is obviously something that Square Enix will eventually tweak, alongside expected but unpopular adjustments to jobs like Viper, so go get your invisible climbing done before Yoshi-P ruins the fun.
