Summary
Football fever is sweeping across the globe at the moment, with both Euro 2024 and Copa América 2024 in full swing, meaning most Western countries are all gathering around TV screens to cheer on their national sides. That means it’s prime time to play a football game or two, withEA FC 24benefiting due to a lack of competition, but EA is leaving a massive gap in the market for those that like a spookier football experience.
Thankfully, we have developer Celery Emblem to target that particular market, as they claim to have mashed together FIFA 98 and Silent Hill to create what is possibly the world’s first survival horror football game. They shared a small glimpse of the game they’re makingon their Twitter account earlier today, showcasing some gameplay of several footballers running around a dark pitch, kicking a severed head back and forth between each other.
While they didn’t show off many other gameplay features, they also explained that players will be able to use knives while on the pitch and summon demons too, though I’m not sure what color card your player would receive for calling forth Beelzebub. He’d probably make a better left-winger than Phil Foden at the minute anyway.
FIFA And Silent Hill Combine To Create The First Survival Horror Football Game
Of course, this is a fan-made game, so we can’t really expect Ronaldo, Theirry Henry, or Dennis Bergkamp to officially sign off on the project. That means we need some players to star in the bizarre project, and Celery Emblem plans on making the character infamous murderers and kidnappers throughout human history. Yes, this could be a football game that sees Ted Bundy play a delightful through ball to Jack the Ripper for an assist.
Celery Emblem doesn’t have a name for the title just yet, and has called upon the public for suggestion. In the replies to the tweet above, we already have complete gold with suggestions such as Fear-FA, Silent Nil, and Heads Will Roll, though we at TheGamer reckon Dead Ball Specialists is the obvious choice. Do it Celery Emblem, you know you want to.
