Once Humanhas a collect-them-all hidden inside it. Players start off with theButterfly’s EmissaryDeviant, which helps them deal damage in battle, but there are many more different types of Deviants around the world. you may collect them, house them, and use them as you please.

TheFestering Gelis a useful Deviant that can aid you in combat. Everyone has different playstyles, which is why it’s important to collect different combat Deviants for you and your team. Having a variety of Deviants helps increase your progression throughout the season.

How To Get The Festering Gel Deviant

The Festering Gel Deviant is unlockable through the first main quest in Once Human, Welcome Back. While in the Dayton Wetlands, NPC’s will have you running all over the place in preparation for taking on the Monolith of Greed.

The Festering Gel is a reward for defeating the Rift Entity inside the Monolith of Greed.

To be able to access the Rift Entity in the Monolith, you mustactivate Rift Anchors in different settlementsin the region.

Monolith Of Greed Walkthrough

Before you take on the Monolith of Greed, it’s worth noting thatthere is high pollution in this area. You shouldhave Pollution Resistance 60 or overif you want to avoid having your health decline.

Increase your Pollution Resistance by applying different Gear and upgrading it. The lab starter Gear actually increases the resistance better than other clothing items.

As you walk through the Monolith for the first time, you will realize that there are objectives similar to Settlement Discoveries. You must find all the loot crates in order to complete this area.Finding the loot crates is not mandatory for defeating the Rift Entity, though.

The Mystical Crate is harder to notice here. Walk through the area until you reach the Monolith. Before entering, head left, like in the photo above.

Flawless Fortification

When thrown, knocks enemies and creates a short wall to hide behind.

Creates a short wall to hide behind. When using it for protection, the wall grants allies 4.0 health and 2.0 Sanity per second.

The Festering Gel is a combat Deviant, but it does not deal damage for you.This Deviant works to protect youwhile in battle. When thrown, the Festering Gelmolds into a fortification or a wall to shield yourself with.

While hiding behind the wall, yourself and your allies will be healed over time.

If you are someone who panics in battle or finds yourself needing to recuperate, this Deviant will be good for you. You can’t always rely on natural cover when you get into combat.

Each Deviant has “Likes”. When you put stuff around its Securement Unit that it likes, the Deviant’s Power and Mood grows faster.
