Summary
Fallout: Londonhas taken another step closer to its new release date, asGOGgreenlights it for launch. Now, the fan game is back in the hands of its developers, who say that it is now in the “final stage” before it can be shared with players.
This comes afterFallout: London was hit with a last-minute delay, missing its initial release date of April 23. This was in response toBethesdasuddenlydropping the next-gen update for Fallout 4- the game that Fallout: London is built upon. However, it has since been decided thatFallout: London will use the older build of the game, so anyone who wants to play through the mod will have to roll back to a previous version.

Fallout: London Is In The “Final Stage” Of Development
This latest update from Fallout: London’s development was spotted in the Discord server, with the team confirming that GOG’s work on the mod has been completed. The storefront has been working on Fallout: London for the past few months, trying to get the game ready to release and be playable regardless of where customers bought Fallout 4. Now, it looks like it has accomplished this, and is now waiting for the devs to make the finishing touches.
Part of this work has included creating a downgrader, so fans can revert Fallout 4 back to the pre-next-gen update build on Steam. GOG lets you do this natively, so it won’t be an issue if that’s where you purchased Fallout 4. However, Epic Games Store doesn’t let you do this at all, so it’s already been confirmed thatyou won’t be able to access Fallout: London if that’s how you play Fallout 4.
At the very least, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer for Fallout: London now. The devs had previously indicated thatthey’d get the game to us “as soon as humanly possible”, and that was before it decided to drop compatibility with the next-gen update. And now that GOG’s work has concluded, a new release date could be shared with us very soon.
