Summary

If you’ve been playingFallout: Londonover the past few days, chances are you’ll have run into one or two issues. While it’s been delightfulfinding the Doctor Who referencesandarguing over whether it’s football or soccer(it’s football, by the way), the whole experience has been slightly soured by the mod’s brutal launch issues, with some struggling to even boot it up and play. It’s led to some pretty harsh criticisms, but the devs want you to know that they’re trying.

In a statement released onthe Fallout: London Twitter account, the devs have explained that they’ve been “working hard” to try and fix the issues that people have been having for the past few days, and thank people for having patience and for sending in feedback. It’s then recommended that players check out the guide that has been uploaded to GOG if they’re still having issues, while the devs work on “improving the installation experience.”

In fact, the developers are so committed to getting the mod running for everyone, they’ve actuallygone and afforded one on one troubleshooting sessionsfor those that are still struggling after following the official guide. There are quite a lot of things that can cause issues at the moment, on top of the usual jankiness of base Fallout 4, so you can head over to the game’s Discord server if you still need help.

Fallout: London Devs Are “Working Hard” To Fix Launch Issues

Even if you’re only dealing with minor issues right, the Discord server is still a great p[lace to be at the moment, as it has a dedicated tech support voice channel in which people can share the tech problems they’re having in the hope that a developer or another fan has the answer. For now, simply turning off weapon debris appears to be fixing a lot of the crashing problems, so you can also just do that and wait for the devs to fix things a bit.

You can then dive into the world of Fallout: London mods (yes, that’s mods for a mod) if things are running smoothly,of which there are a surprisingly large number. Alongside the aforementioned soccer/football fiasco, there are mods to skip intros, add new translations, and improve fonts. You know it’s a proper Fallout experience when there are already day one mods to improve things.
