Summary

Fallout 76has seen itsfair share of controversies over the years, just like most live service games that are constantly having to adjust to meet the demands of their fanbases. Bethesda has done pretty well over the last couple of years to salvage Fallout 76 after its disastrous launch, but one fan uprising that it probably didn’t see coming is the sudden calls for the studio to do something about “very ugly bra straps.”

In one of the more bizarre posts we’ve seenfrom the Fallout subreddit, a user called Filthy_Kate is calling on all players using female characters in Fallout 76 to create a support ticket in an attempt to get Bethesda to remove the visible bra straps that you can see while wearing certain clothing. Due to the game’s default underwear, bra straps can be seen on strapless outfits like swimsuits and halter tops.

Fallout 76 Players Are Fed Up With “Ugly” Bra Straps

It might seem like a pretty minor issue, but the post has surprisingly managed to gain quite a lot of support, with many also upset that the visibility of dirty underwear and bra straps are ruining certain outfits. In fact, another user called Lilith makes the very valid point that actually wearing modern bras in a nuclear apocalypse would be pretty rare considering nobody would be able to manufacture them.

“PATROLLING WITH BRA STRAPS MAKES ME WISH FOR A NUCLEAR WINTER”

Other suggestions fans come up with are giving bras to men too, to equal the amount of suffering overall, or just “do away with the mandatory bra for females altogether.” Again, it would be far more realistic, and it’s not like Fallout 76 would be an outlier with games likeBaldur’s Gate 3and the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard choosing tolet your characters get starkers whenever they please. Burn the bra, Bethesda!
