Summary
A few days ago,LarianCEO Swen Vincke revealed in an interview thatthere were other franchises that he wanted to work onif the studio couldn’t nab theBaldur’s Gatelicence. One of these was the Fallout series, which makes sense, as this shares Baldur’s Gate’s 1990s CRPG roots.
Now, bothBaldur’s Gate 3andFalloutfans are begging everyone involved to make this happen. Across social media, players are hoping thatMicrosoftandBethesdasee this and try to bring Larian into the Fallout series. They’re even sharing ideas on what a Larian-developed Fallout fame would look like, and it’s pretty wild.

Fans Hope A Larian-Developed Fallout Game Is Still Possible
Fans have no shortage of ideas on what a Fallout game made by Larian would look like. Some want to see a return to the style of the first two Fallout games - which makes sense, given that they were turn-based like Baldur’s Gate 3 - or even remakes of these titles.
Don’t expect Bethesda-developed remakes of the old Fallout games though -Todd Howard has said they’re fine the way they are.
Others in the Reddit thread have possibly the funniest guess on what the game would include though - deathclaw romancing. Which, yeah, in fairness, Larian has let us get down and dirty in a few ways that we wouldn’t want to admit to others. Whether that’s hooking up with a skeleton, a bear,or a mind flayer, the studio certainly isn’t one to judge. And who knows? If the devs brought backthe intelligent deathclaws from Fallout 2… okay, I’ll stop myself there.
Right now though, this is all hypothetical. Although I will put out there thatXbox wants another Fallout game “sooner rather than later”, despite Bethesda being nowhere near ready to commit to Fallout 5. And now we know that Larian considered asking for Fallout in the past - it could happen!
Well, probably not, becauseLarian is already busy on two other RPGs. We also know that these are its own IPs, so we should expect another Divinity instalment before anything else.
