InThe Casting of Frank Stone, while the story progresses in 2024, you also travel back to the 1980s to understand what’s really happening. There are many things that connect the past and the present, and at the forefront of these are the actions taken by the characters. These actions can alter fate, creating a butterfly effect, so to speak.
Another connection between the past and present is the collectibles you find in the game. Among these collectibles are trinkets, which you can keep track of in some chapters using a toolbox. Are you ready to find them all?
Nearest Checkpoint
Mill Entrance
At the beginning of the game, the first character you control will be Sam, and you’ll find yourself at the Mill Entrance. As soon as you start, if youmove straight ahead without turning anywhere, you’llsee a lit area on the right ahead, with a red barrel in front of it.
Squeeze through the wiresto the right of the red barrel. Then,turn left, and you’ll find the box containing this trinketin front of the red and white barrel.
Storm Drain
After Sam opens the grate cover anddescends into the storm drain, if you look at the wall in front of you, you’ll see a yellow sign that reads ‘Furnace Access.‘Go in the opposite directionof the sign.
After walking a bit, you’ll have to go left. Afterward, you’llsee a rusty metal door on your right.Enter through this door, and inside, you’ll find the box containing this trinket.
Drug Store
To obtain this trinket, you need toenter the Drug Store.After the dialogues, you’ll control Chris. Go to the section with the shelves on the far right. You’ll find the box containing this trinketon the shelf across from the beverage cooler, to the right of the toilet paper.
Creek North
While trying to find an entrance to the Storm Drain, Robert will give you the options to CLIMB or CROSS. To find this trinket,you must choose the CLIMBoption. After choosing this option, the characters will jump and cross to the other side of the wall. As soon as they do, proceed along the path in front of you.
If you look to your left, you’llsee an area with wire fencing behind some rocks.Keep this area to your left andcircle around it.You’ll find a spot where you cansqueeze between two rocks.After passing through the rocks, you’ll reach the first set of wires, and you’ll find the box containing the trinket called Mother Daughter Ring.
Creek South
While trying to find an entrance to the Storm Drain, Robert will give you the options to CLIMB or CROSS. To find this trinket,you must choose the CROSSoption. Follow the path and pass under the log. After the cutscene, you’ll reach a section where you need to climb. Afterward, you’ll try tocross a narrow stone, maintaining your balance.
After crossing, don’t go down to the section with barrels. Instead, you need toreach the area on the left ahead,and to get there, you’ll need tocross with a plank, maintaining your balanceagain. Once you reach the other side, you’ll see the trinket box.
Yard
When controlling Linda, after Bonnie joins the group, your objective will be updated to entering the Furnace Chamber. Move straight ahead andpass the large garage door on your right.If you keep going straight without turning, you’ll recognize a familiar place at the corner of the building.
If you remember, Sam lifted the grate here and entered the storm drain in the first chapter. Right next to this grate, you’llfind a crowbar.After picking it up,turn your back to the grate and head northeastfrom your location. You’llsee a shed to the left of the large garage door with graffiti.
Normally, you’re able to only look inside this shed, but since you have the crowbar, you can open its door. Inside, on the left, you’ll find the box containing this trinket.
Passageway
To obtain this trinket, you mustacquire the key from the Storm Drain in Chapter Five.Otherwise, you won’t be able to get the trinket.
As you progress through the Storm Drain,after passing through the first metal door, there will be a straight tunnel ahead.On your second right, you’ll see a wall with a window-like opening that you can jump over.
After jumping, proceed straight ahead andopen the rusty door in front of you.You’ll reach a large room, andon the right, you’ll see a table.You’llfind the key on this table.
While trying to find a way to the entrance of the Machine Shop, you’ll control Chris again.You’ll be in the Hallwaywith Robert and Jamie. Move straight ahead from where you start, and you’llsee the door to the Casting Foundry.This door will be locked, and you canunlock it with the key you found in the Storm Drain.
After entering, you’llsee a red, wheeled object that you can pullin front of you. You need tomove it directly under the yellow-covered sectionin the room. Then, climb onto the red object. From there, climb onto the yellow-covered platform. Turn right, go up the stairs, and then turn left.Squeeze through the gapin the area with the barrel.
When you turn left, you’ll need to maintain your balancewhile crossing a narrow beam.After crossing, lower the ladder to create a shortcut to this section. Then,after descending the ladder, you’ll see some metal platforms that you can pull near the ladder.
After pulling two of these platforms back, climb the ladder again. This way, you’ve created a pathby jumping forward using the platformsyou pulled. After crossing, you’ll find the box containing this trinket next to the ladder.
Sanctum
In the Reliquary, you’ll control Linda, and there will be a simple table that you may interact with to advance the story.Stand next to this tableandface the wall with the door to your left.As youapproach the corner of the wall,you’ll see the trinket box on the ground.
Furnace Chamber
While searching for the others with Bonnie, you’ll control Linda. Climb the stairs andproceed along the metal platform.Before descending the metal ramp, you’llsee a gray electrical boxnext to you. Interact with it and turn the machine’s lever.This will bring the metal platform on your leftcloser to you. You can find the box containing this trinket on that platform.
Wagon Shed
After repelling Frank Stone with the camera in this chapter, your objective will be updated to finding the others. Afterlifting yourself up with the yellow platform, proceed straight ahead andjump onto the train wagonin front of you. Then, move along the wagon and jump onto the platform close to the wall.
Once outside the door, the fate will update to indicate that you’ve escaped the Wagon Shed. After exiting,instead of going down the stairs, cross to the other side of the iron beam.You’ll need to maintain your balance to do so. Once you cross, you’ll find the trinket box.
Corridor
After entering the Bedroom from the Corridor, you’llenter the bedroom.After finding the music box key in a book,activate the music box, which will open a hidden compartment in the room. Go down the stairs.Turn left.After listening to the audio recorder, if you continue down the corridor, you’llfind the Sacrificial Knife trinket on a table on your right.
Hunted
Frank Stone will appear on the screen and come to 2024, starting the massacre. You’ll escape from the room. Once you do, you’llfind yourself in a corridor with Frank Stone chasing you.In the corridor, when youreach a window with a red light shining in front of it, you’ll find the final trinket, the Blacksmith’s Hammer,on the table to the left.
