Summary
HoYoverse’s distinctive anime visuals have captured the hearts of players around the globe. Each game offers a compelling storyline set in expansive worlds filled with breathtaking graphics. Since it isultimately a multiverse, most of these titles are centered around an intelligent alien force known as Honkai. However, some titles also venture into other styles and storylines, keeping every game unique and novel.
There’s a lively debate on the internet about which HoYoverse title stands out as the best. While every series has its own charm, some are definitely more popular than others. Ultimately, it comes down to individual taste, but there are certain insights that could explain why some games are considered better than others.

8Zombiegal Kawaii
The Zombies Are Cute, But The Weapons Are Expensive
Fans looking for a fun, straightforward game are definitely going to love Zombiegal Kawaii. Although the maintheme of the game is warding off zombiesand killing them with firearms, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the game is also quite wholesome for its rather violent premise. Everything in the game, from characters to zombies, stands out because of their charming and cute design.
The title was introduced as HoYoverse’s second contribution to the gaming industry. With a 2D sliding animation, you can easily maneuver the character and enjoy the thrill of defeating cute zombies. With everything that’s good about it, the only thing that doesn’t hit the spot with Zombiegal Kawaii is the fact that despite the intense grinding it requires, there’s barely any reward.

The weapons in the game are over-priced, and clearing stages doesn’t exactly give a lot of gold. But, considering how it is one of the older HoYoverse games, it’s pretty good for what it offers.
7FlyMe2theMoon
Soar High Across The Verse
Following simple and minimalistic games, FlyMe2theMoonis another side-scrolling arcade gameby HoYoverse with a title that says it all. You have to help a charming young girl, Kiana Kaslana, fly to the moon while collecting coins and power-ups. However, you have to be cautious of obstacles that may cross Kiana’s path — letting her get hit would be nothing short of a tragedy.
As Kiana ascends higher toward the moon, the game challenges players to master precise timing and skillful dodging to avoid obstacles. With its engaging mechanics and charming protagonist, FlyMe2theMoon promises an enjoyable experience for gamers of all ages. However, for a game as casual as this one looks, it could prove a bit too challenging for first-timers and casual gamers. Additionally, being an older title, it is difficult to find on newer platforms.

6Tears Of Themis
Justice Served, One Case At A Time
Set in the modern fictional city of Stellis, Tears of Themis places you in the shoes of a young female protagonist known as Rosa, who works as a lawyer. The story takes place in the year 2030, and the city of Stellis is home to various characters with unique backgrounds and personal goals.
However, not all is well in this peaceful land. While Stellis seems like a charming place filled with novel love stories, there are certain moral ambiguities surrounding the characters. Because it is a visual novel, you have to help Rosa make difficult decisions in intriguing cases to unravel the mysteries around you.

Tears of Themis offers a pretty well-rounded experience, though it doessuffer from occasional bugsand technical issues during gameplay. Additionally, for a mobile game, its file size is quite large and takes up a significant amount of space.
5Gun Girls Z
School Days With A Twist
The unique tale of Houkai Gakuen, also known as Gun Girls Z, is set in a world plagued by a mysterious force known as Honkai. Unfortunately, Houkai Gakuen is not available globally anymore and can only be played on Chinese and Japanese servers.

4Honkai Impact 3rd
Beauty Against The Beast
Honkai Impact 3rd represents HoYoverse’s first pinnacle achievement. The expansive world, the mysteries, the storyline — everything about this game attracts gamers across the globe. Some fans even label this title comparable to Genshin Impact, but of course, it’s just a matter of priorities.

Featuring fast-paced, real-time combat and a rich narrative, Honkai Impact 3rd promises an exhilarating experience for those who appreciate dynamic gameplay and an engaging storyline — which might seem to be a bit of a problem for casual players.

After the major expansion Honkai Impact 3rd had in early 2024, it becameconsiderably more difficultfor players to keep up with its open world and non-linear progression.
3Honkai: Star Rail
Mysteries Unfold Across The Cosmos
As the next entry in the Honkai series, Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based game and offers a completely different mechanic from Honkai Impact 3rd’s slasher fighting style. Some players confuse these titles and often label the former as a must-play to truly enjoy the latter, but that’s not necessarily true.
The game follows the sci-fi fantasy premise and is centered on a massive story that revolves around the main character traveling across the Astral Express to stop whatever chaos their mysterious enemies, Stellarons, have caused. The game is incredibly gorgeous and hassome of the most satisfying progression systemsin mobile gaming. The world, and consequently the story, is so expansive, that it may even become daunting for a new player.
