This means you’ll need to remember which teammate has which field abilities!

Use Your Teammates' Skills To Navigate, Prepare, And Find Hidden Items

Trusting your team is a critical part of this group, andthe Straw Hat Pirates are a group of ninewith a variety of different skills available to you to help navigate through the game. You’ll encounter a variety of elements in the game’s overworld that only certain characters can see or access, so you’ll need toswitch between teammates to completely explore the areasin the game.

In the table below, we’ve detailedevery crew member’s field abilitiesto help you get around! The game often prompts you to switch when there’s something nearby that suggests you should, but it never hurts to keep your eyes peeled regardless. These are different fromtheir in-battle abilities, so be mindful of this.

That said, only themost basic abilities- the ones that break small items nearby - areunlocked during the first chapterfor the majority of the Straw Hat Pirates. Though you begin the game with a glimpse into your future strength, youlose your poweras part of the main story of One Piece Odyssey. As you progress through the game, you’ll regain them, but you’re limited to basic attack moves until then.

If you’re not currently using a teammate that can detect hidden objects when one is nearby, you’ll oftenhear a comment from that teammatesuggesting they sense something, as your clue to swap to them and use their field ability before leaving the area.

Chapter One

Checks the surrounding area for anything of importance, like high-EXP enemies or valuable hidden items.

Stretch Luffy’s arm quite a distance to either move or grab objects that are further away, including grips to allow him to reach inaccessible areas.

Chapter Two

Prepare dishes for the teamto use during battle, typically to replenish HP and TP for the team.

Creates Trick Ballsfor use in battle to inflict statuses, debuffs, and more.
