Summary
Since the debut of the modernMarvel Cinematic Universe, often called the MCU, back in 2008 with the release of the first Iron Man film, there have been a ton of characters to make the jump from the comics to the silver screen.
You’ve got your heavy hitters like Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, Thor, and Spider-Man, as well as smaller characters like Angar the Screamer and Union Jack. If you’ve ever wanted to see which comic book characters have made an appearance in the MCU, we’ve got you covered.

Every Comic Book Character In The MCU
Okay, so, there are a lot of characters in these films, and while there are plenty of original characters made up for whatever adventure our heroes are on, there are tons pulled from the comics as well. To make it a little easier to parse through, we broke up all the Marvel films by their phases. Keep in mind that there are characters who are only ever briefly mentioned or hinted at, as well as some who might look vastly different from their comic book origins.
Sometimes, a character’s name is used for a minor character or a background character, withlittle to no references to their superhero alter ego or life. For example, in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Cindy Moon is credited as one of Peter Parker’s classmates, but she doesn’t seem to have any spider powers and certainly never shows up as Silk. Despite this, we still included Cindy and many other characters as official appearances in the films, despite not showing up in any real way.

Thanos has come and gone, but even bigger villains are on the way. The universe might never be the same but that doesn’t mean our heroes can stop protecting the innocent.

Spider-Man: Far From Home
The Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Four
While the world tries to adjust back to some semblance of normalcy, some weird stuff starts to happen in the MCU. The Marvel Cinematic Universe: Tie-Ins
There is more to the MCU than just the films, there are television shows, tie-ins, short films, and more that depict other comic book characters in one way or another. The slightly confusing thing about Marvel’s many side projects and TV shows is the continuity. Some shows were canon and then were ripped out, while others were taken in and made canon afterward.
