As is often the case so soon after an update, players are putting these buffs into practice to see what is now viable and how the meta has changed. So far, based on around 24 hours of game time, there seems to be at least one major winner from the patch - the Euporia Twinblade.

This article contains minor spoilers for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
A New God-Slaying Armament
The Euporia Twinblade is a new weapon introduced inElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, found in the Belarut Tower Settlement. It’s a Holy weapon that powers up its “luster” by dealing damage to enemies.
According to theofficial patch notesreleased byFromSoftware, the Euporia has seen the following buffs:
While it wasn’t particularly the most popular choice, pre-patch, players are finding out what a brute it is now, especially against foes weak against Holy damage, and there are a couple of big ones.
Both Messmer the Impaler and Promised Consort Radahn suffer heavily at the hands of Holy weapons. This has meant, that with the new buffs it’s received, it’s carving through these two bosses like butter.
Videos surfacing on the Elden Ring Subreddit show just how good it’s become. One playerhas shared a clipin which they defeat Messmer in a little over a minute with the weapon, beating his second phase in around ten seconds. Anotheruploaded a similar video, in which they defeat the game’s final boss, Promised Consort Radahn, in a similar timeframe. Not bad for two of the game’s most notoriously difficult foes.
It remains to be seen whether the weapon was overcorrected and will receive a nerf next time around, but for now, make hay while the sun shines.
