Summary

Elden Ringplayers are letting each other know thatShadow of the Erdtreewill let your Mimic Tear easily heal itself to full thanks to new items called Blessings of Marika.

Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is pretty rough. In fact, it’s so difficult that it’s managed to create discourse among the game’s community, resulting in a light review bombing of the game on Steam. We’re all busting out the reliable tactics to take down the likes of Rellana and Messmer, and one of those tactics involvesour good friend the Mimic Tear. Still, some find the game a little difficult even with your Mimic by your side, but people are just discovering there’s a way to dramatically extend its life.

We already know that the Mimic Tear is very helpful, functioning as a complete copy of your character and has the ability to use everything you have equipped at the time, items and all. One of the few things your Mimic Tear doesn’t have access to is your Flasks, meaning it can’t effectively heal itself if it takes a lot of damage in battle. However, it seems as though Shadow of the Erdtree has fixed that thanks to a new item called a Blessing of Marika.

Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree Lets Your Mimic Tear Use Blessings Of Marika

Blessings of Marika are extremely rare in Shadow of the Erdtree, with only three known locations to find them in the entire DLC, but for good reason. They’re items that will completely fill your health bar again, as well as remove any status ailments you’re afflicted with. You can only hold one at a time, making it a very precious resource, but if you keep it in your inventory and never use it, you’re essentially giving your Mimic Tear a free complete heal every time you summon them.

In fact, you can even grab one of these Blessings of Marika as soon as you step into the Land of Shadow. Simply head behind the left side of the Church of Consolation in the Gravesite Plains, and you should find a small cave that houses three soldiers guarding your prize. The other two are found after you beat Rellana- one in a fort and one dropped by a late game boss we shall not spoil here - so verify not to use it, or it’ll be a while before you get another.
