Summary
Elden Ringplayers are sharing how long it took them to beatShadow of the Erdtree’s final boss, with some admitting that they’re still working towards it.
We spent so long waiting for Elden Ring’s first and only expansion that it feels alittle wild to say that it’s nearly been a whole month since it released. Although many players seem to have finished it in that time, you’d be surprised at just how many Elden Ring fans are struggling to see the Shadow of the Erdtree’s credits.
Although the conversations surroundingShadow of the Erdrtree have made it clear that it’s far more difficult than most were expecting, it seems that thebiggest roadblock is unsurprisingly the final boss. They’re so tough, in fact, that a lot of Elden Ring players still haven’t managed to beat the expansion and are still working towards the finish line.
Spoiler warning for the identity of Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss. It’s been a month but there are clearly some players who haven’t cleared the game yet, so avert ye eyes.
Shadow Of The Erdtree’s Final Boss Is Taking Some Players A Lot Of Time
Over on the Elden Ring subreddit,Redditor Iamfunnyirl started the conversation by asking players how long it took them to beat Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss, Consort Radahn. They started things off by admitting that it took them around eight hours spread out over four days, which suddenly has me feeling sheepish about ever clearing the DLC.
I was surprised at how long Iamfunnyirl took to beat Radahn, but it turns out that’s just the start of things. The thread features a ton of different answers, ranging from one impressive player who managed to do it in two hours with Gaius' sword lance to some longer attempts that apparently took up to two days.
“I just kept trying until I found a player summon who could handle it and let them do 90% of the work, because at 37 years old I’ve begun to realise that I’m too old for this s**t.”
I was expecting at least a few brave players to claim it only took them one or two tries, but it seems that Radahn’s brutality has made the community more honest, as the lowest time I saw on there was two hours. For one single boss, that’s still pretty impressive and it speaks to how challenging the DLC is as a whole.
That honesty extends to several players admitting that they still haven’t managed to beat Radahn and are “still working towards it”, whether that be through buffing their character or just having a break from the battle. FromSoft players don’t usually agree on a boss being such a pain, but it seems that Radahn might be the one everyone can point to and say, “yeesh”.
