Summary

The Putrescent Knight is widely consideredone of the hardest bossesinElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. The hulking skeleton sits atop a horse with a giant cleaver in hand, darting about the arena at a rapid pace and undoubtedly killing thousands of tarnished.

Its weapon and Ghostflame combination, combined with its ability to move around the arena, make it a threat for even the most seasoned Souls players. That wasn’t enough to deter one player, though, who decided that it would be a good idea to take a sheep deep into the Fissure Depths to face the Legend Boss, and it went about as well as you’d expect.

Bringing A Sheep To A Boss Fight

Elden Ring player and RedditorMoonlit_Hunterdecided to see what would happen if theytook a sheepto help them in their fight with thePutrescent Knight.

After spending a significant amount of time using the spell Rejection, a spell which pushes an enemy without damaging them, on the poor sheep, the pair reached the end of the Stone Coffin Fissure and readied themselves to jump into the Fissure Depths. What followed was to be expected, but that didn’t make it any less hilarious.

The duo made the lengthy jump into the depths, with the sheep falling alongside Moonlit_Hunter’s tarnished. Sadly, while Moonlit_Hunter stuck the landing, the sheep didn’t, hitting the floor and instantly dying. M_H immediately emoted the sheep, paying their respects, but it’s hard to see what else they were expecting, with the phrase “bringing a knife to a gunfight” being unfair to the knife in this instance.

While this discovery isn’t one that’s going to go down in theElden Ringlore books, plenty of other players are still discovering juicy secrets from the game’sLand of Shadow. TheTibia Mariner’s Identitycould have finally been discovered, as couldTorrent’s original masterand theTarnished’s Finger Maiden, and a new theory has suggested that theScadutree could possibly tower over the Erdtree.
