Summary
By the time we get to see many ofElden Ring’score characters, they’re usually a little worse for wear. Radagon is a decaying husk during the big endgame battle, Malenia has suffered the curse ofscarlet rot, and Queen Marika, long departed, is only seen as a statue, a painting, or in the occasional cutscene.
With limited knowledge of what Queen Marika the Eternal looked like, one Elden Ring player has taken it into their own hands to faithfully recreate the Elden Ring’s vessel and the ruler of theLands Between.

Blonde Hair, Driven To Despair
Elden Ring’s lore depictsMarikaas a powerful yet troubled queen. After ascending to godhood, Marika waged war on the Hornsent, seeking to wipe them all out with the aid of her son,Messmer the Impaler.
Aiming to free the world of Destined Death, Marika removes the Rune of Death from the Elden Ring. She marriedGodfrey, the first Elden Lord, and had three children,Godwyn,Morgott, andMohg. After banishing Godfrey to the Land Between, Marika then marriedRadagon, raising his three children,Radahn,Rykard, andRanni, as well as two of their own,MaleniaandMiquella. It later transpired that Marika and Radagon were effectively the same being, leading to Radagon claiming her body after she had been trapped inside the Erdtree.

For all we know of her history, we rarely see any depictions of Queen Marika whole, and that’s where Reddit usernouvlessecomes in. Using Elden Ring’s character creator, they’ve reimagined Radagon’s other half in her entirety. Lining their creation up next to a statue, nouvlesse perfectly matched up Marika’s features, from her silky blonde hair, light yellow eye, and even the shape of her nose.
Recreating Elden Ring’s rulers has become a bit of a trend over the last couple of days, with another user reimagining what Marika’s second husband,Radagon would have looked like pre-shattering.
