Summary
If it took you more than a few tries to beat the final boss ofElden Ring’s DLC,Shadow of the Erdtree, then fret not, you’re in good company. After several hours of attempts, Elden Ring legend Let Me Solo Her has beaten the expansion, admitting that it was a difficult feat.
This is despite Let Me Solo Her famouslybeating the ultra-difficult Malenia boss several thousand timessince launch. Even with all of that experience in the base game, the Shadow of the Erdtree final boss still proved challenging, something that’s bound to put many players at ease as they struggle to beat the DLC too.

It Isn’t Just You, Shadow Of The Erdtree’s Final Boss Is Hard
As spotted byPC Gamer, Let Me Solo Her beat the final boss on stream earlier today. If you want to see the moment in all of its glory, start watching from around the 1:04:00 point - and feel the tension as Let Me Solo Her realises that victory is within his reach. After a lot of near misses, the final hit is made, and the boss is felled.
Let Me Solo Her is, understandably, absolutely ecstatic. He had previously shared that the boss was"kicking [his] butt" in previous attempts, but many of us can relate to that. He had defended the DLC’s difficulty though, saying thatother players were being “too harsh” over it.
Indeed, the difficulty has a sore spot for many at launch. Some even left negative reviews on Steam over how hard it isin comparison to the base game - which was already notoriously tricky. Some love it for this very reason, however, including our reviewer, James Troughton, who gave Shadow of the Erdtree a 5/5.
As for Let Me Solo Her’s future Elden Ring endeavours, we’ll have to wait and see.He had actually retired from constantly fighting Maleniaprior to Shadow of the Erdtree’s launch, but now that he’s back in the swing of it, we might see more challenge runs from him in the future. He mentioned the possibility of a hitless run of the DLC’s final boss, but that would require alotof training.
