Summary
Dungeons And Dragonsturns 50 this year. 50 years since the very first role players gathered around and embarked on an adventure, oblivious to the fact that millions more would be joining them in countless ways for the next five decades and counting. Naturally, Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast have been celebrating the big 5-0 in as many ways as possible, the latest of which is a collection of stamps curated by Royal Mail.
The collection features 14 designs, 11 of which have never been seen before. Artist Wayne Reynolds is responsible for the images on all of them. Reynolds has worked on D&D games, handbooks, and guides for almost half of the RPG’s 50-year run, so suffice to say they know a thing or two about how the beasts, creatures, and backdrops in these stamp designs should look.

Eight of the 14 designs are dedicated to those beasts and creatures, each one featuring something synonymous with D&D. Among the inclusions is an owlbear - a creatureBaldur’s Gate 3fans will be very familiar with - a mindflayer, Vecna, and the all-consuming Gelatinous Cube. The other six stamps are part of a sheet, each of the images coming together to create a different scene that shows a brave party of adventurers embarking on a thrilling D&D journey.

Before that, the first-ever D&D Lego set was released. The Red Dragon’s Tale set includes three locations and a big red dragon, as the name implies, you can use to wreak havoc on all of them.
