A new legal trademark document has potentially revealed the release window ofDragon Ball: Sparking Zero, as it claims the title has to launch within the next six months, unless publisher Bandai Namco files an extension request.

It seems like every week, we’re getting another clue regarding Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s elusive release date. You can view the document for yourselfon the official websitefor the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and it explains that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero now has a six-month deadline to be used in commerce, which essentially means being made available for people to purchase. The document also claims that this time period also allows for up to five extension requests, though as Venixys points out, that has rarely happened with recent Dragon Ball games.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Seems Set For A 2024 Release

Even on its own, this document seems like pretty solid proof that Bandai Namco plans to launch Sparking Zero in 2024, but we also recently discovereda rating for the game in Singapore that had a release year of 2024 attached. Ratings can be iffy, but Singapore has laked release windows in the past, including a game called Unknown 9: Awakening which is also being published by Bandai Namco.

With all of this info combined, we can likely expect a release date announcement at some point over the next couple of weeks, withevery publisher on the planet getting ready to hold their respective showcases now that E3 is dead. We know that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is scheduled to make an appearance at Summer Game Fest this week, and that does seem the likeliest place for Bandai Namco to finally let us know whether the game will launch this year, or if we’re in for a longer wait.
