Summary

We now know via an upcoming issue of V-Jump that was leaked earlier this week that Super Buu and Kid Buu will be part of Dragon Ball! Sparking Zero’s launch day roster. Those two aren’t incredibly surprising given how integral they are to the story, but the leak did confirm that multiple of Buu’s absorption forms will also be in the game, including Buutenks (Super Buu with Gotenks absorbed) and Buuhan (Super Buu with Ultimate Gohan absorbed).

That said, while those two forms are canon to the Dragon Ball Z lore, fans are hopeful that Buu’s non-canon absorption forms will make it intoSparking! Zero.

Yamcha Tien Fusion

For the uninitiated, in Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2, Super Buu had several non-canon absorptions that could be triggered in-game. Those absorptions included a Frieza-Buu hybrid, Cell-Buu, Buu with Tien and Yamcha absorbed, as well as Buugeta – the combination of Buu and Vegeta. These forms were extremely zany and fun, which makes them all the more desired by fans.

Bring Us All The Failed Fusions

The thread shared on Twitter by content creator SLOplayswas immediately a hit with long-time Dragon Ball fans. “Would be perfect for the What-If’s they’re trying to push,“one Twitter user commented.

Another user suggested that the failed fusion that were also in Budokai 2 should also be in the game. Similar to the Buu absorptions, there were failed fusions in Budokai, including a Hercule and Goku mashup, as well as the cursed version of Yamcha and Tien.

These were all the fusion attempts, including the crazy cutscenes that played out beforehand:

There are still multiple character slots to fill ahead of the game’s October release, so perhaps there is a lane for any of these to show up. For as serious as anime games attempt to be, there has also been a bunch of fun stuff in-between.Like, when Mecha Naruto was part of the Storm roster. So here’s hoping Buuza is part of the game.
