From the moment that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero wasfirst teased as the long-awaited fourth entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, it’s fair to say that it’sliving up to more than a decade’s worth of anticipation. Fans havetalked endlessly about its massive roster, gameplay mechanics, and stronger focus on what-if stories, but there’s one element that sometimes gets a little overlooked - the visuals.
Ignoring some minor issues like theinitially banana-coloured Super Saiyan hairandGoku’s weird proportions in Super Saiyan 3, Sparking Zero has managed to capture the look of Dragon Ball perfectly. Sure, we’ve seen that before with FighterZ and its spot-on recreation of the manga’s look, but Sparking Zero’s graphics have still impressed fans, especially when it comes to Perfect Cell.
Dragon Ball Fans Can’t Get Over How Great Perfect Cell Looks In Sparking Zero
Our first look at Perfect Cell was during Sparking Zero’s TGA reveal trailer, but he was recently shown off again in a gameplay clip that featured him battling Majin Buu.That clip was weirdly removed after the fact, but it hasn’t stopped fans from gushing about how great Perfect Cell looks compared to the rest of the cast.
Perfect Cell doesn’t just look better than the other characters, though, as he also looks better than any other game’s version of the character. Over on the Budokai Tenkaichi subreddit,, who shared an image of Perfect Cell in Sparking Zero and compared it to how he looks in FighterZ.
Strangely, despite being revealed alongside Sparking Zero, we haven’t actually seen all that much footage of Cell in action.A recent leak claimed that the game’s next trailer will focus on the Android Saga, so we should get more then.
Obelisk7777 said, “Even in full 3D, Cell’s Sparking Zero model clears DBFZ Cell. A genuine W for a Sparking Zero model”, a sentiment that a lot of fans seem to agree with on the subreddit. Sparking Zero’s characters all look great, but Perfect Cell looks even better than he did in what is unarguably the best-looking Dragon Ball game to date, which is a big accomplishment.
That post isn’t the only recent one on the Budokai Tenkaichi subreddit, either. Most of the other popular threads this week,including this one from CaramelAutomatic5351, are all talking about how great Cell in Sparking Zero, which is something that hasn’t really been said about other characters. Perfect Cell is really living up to his name, huh?
