Summary

Week by week and day by day, more and more information aboutDragon Age: The Veilguardis coming out.Already, we’ve learned that “loved characters” will be making a return, and thatthe companions in this game are the franchise’s “most complex.“We’vealso learned more about the voice cast, as well aswhether gamers need to play the earlier titles (the answer to that is no, by the way).

Now, we’ve learned just when The Veilguard will be coming out. According to an EA quarterly report, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is due out in Quarter 3 of 2024. Q3 can be anywhere between October and December, meaning gamers could be playing The Veilguard in a handful of weeks or a few months.

Either way, it’s great confirmation that the game is on pace for release before the end of the year.

November Could Be A Prime Launch Month

Of course, trying to land a specific day in the timeframe between October and December is as easy as finding a needle in a haystack. That said, there is some precedent when it comes to Dragon Age and Q3 that gamers can potentially rely on.

The first Dragon Age title, Dragon Age: Origins, had a November 3 release date in 2009. Then, Dragon Age: Inquisition, the 2014 title and last Dragon Age game to date, also had a November release date. Inquisition launched on November 18.

In other words, a November launch seems as good a bet as any. Besides precedent, it also happens to be one of the Q3 months with the most availability. October is pretty packed with the likes ofSilent Hill 2 Remake,Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZeroandBlack Ops 6headlining things. Meanwhile, as far as major AAA releases go, November hasAssassin’s Creed Shadows, and that’s pretty much it.

With all the information that is coming out, it probably won’t be long before a finalized release date is announced. Dragon Age fans, you’ve waited this long, so hold out just a little bit longer.
