Summary
A snippet of the upcomingDragon Age: The Veilguardtrailer leaked earlier this morning, revealing that the hotly-anticipated sequel is finally launching on October 31—happy Halloween!
This part of the trailer, which is currently live on Streamable, shows 20 seconds of what we already saw inthe longer-form gameplay showcaseBioWare hosted back in June.

As it unravels the prologue, we see Varric attempting to stop Solas from tearing open the Veil, our hero Rook fighting inthe streets of Minrathous, and Pride Demons erupting throughout the city. And right at the very end, we finally get that date, revealing that we can now pre-order the game. Obviously, since this went up earlier than it was supposed to, you can’t, but you should be able to later today.
Other Dragon Age: The Veilguard Reveals That We Can Look Forward To
BioWare has four more reveals to share in the run-up to Halloween that it outlined in yesterday’s roadmap.
The next one, which will take place on the week of August 19, is the high-level combat and PC spotlight, followed by an entire week dedicated to the game’s companions starting from August 26. Just four days later on August 30, the developers will host a Q&A on Discord to answer all of our burning questions—someone askif Varric dies for me, yeah?

In September, IGN will begin its “month-long exclusive coverage”.
Dragon Age: Inquisitionlaunched nearly ten years ago, The Veilguard has been a long time coming, to say the least. But that wait ends on the spookiest day of the year. Who’s ready to go trick or treating? Maybe one of the neighbours will be nice enough to give Varric a new Bianca this year with a slice of Dorian Pavus' pumpkin bread.
