Summary

TheDragon Ageseries has plenty of nudity, but it’s always obscured by clever camera angles, implying that your character is naked but never showing too much. The Veilguardtakes things a step further.

Game Informergot a hands-on look with the character creator and discovered that Rook takes their shirt off when you’re altering their chest size, revealing all—there’s no underwear in The Fade. Director Corrine Busche told them that it’s a “mature RPG” after all.

However, they only saw topless nudity in the character creator, so it’s unclear if we’ll see anything risqué below the waist. Game Informer did ask, but BioWare wants fans to discover this for themselves. It’s not a no, it even feels like a tease, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Maybe Varric hangs dong,if he doesn’t die that is.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Is Upping The Romance

It seems likely that The Veilguard will feature more nudity in its cutscenes, more explicit than it has been in past games, especially considering that it’s shaping up to bethe “most romantic” BioWare game to date.

For one, every companion is pansexual, so you’re able to date anyone in your party. Inquisition for contrast had romances dependent on your gender and race, like Cullen refusing to get with dwarfs and qunari. But not everyone will be jumping your bones the second they pitch a tent, as BioWare explained that “some companions will be upfront” whereas others are “awkward”, which is fairly similar to howBaldur’s Gate 3approached it. Gale was…pretty forward.

Companions can even date each other, so things will continue to get romantic even if you’re not the one making advances. It’s not too surprising that a bunch of adventurers facing down death will stir up some feelings, but what exactly BioWare expects us to discover, we’ll find out later this year.
