Summary

In a newDragon Age: The Veilgaurdrelease date trailer, BioWare revealed that Morrigan is returning to the series.

We last saw her in Inquisition in which it’s revealed that Morrigan is Empress Celene’s occult advisor. She isn’t a playable companion, but she will travel to your base in Skyhold and may even bring her son Kieran depending on what decisions you made during Origins.

One fan even pointed outthat it looks like she’s wearing her mother Flemeth’s crown, the shapeshifting Witch of the Wilds who we meet in every game throughout the series. She is an indescribably powerful mage who many believe to be immortal, even able to transform into a high dragon, with legends that tell of her raising armies to invade the lowlands, although Morrigan disputes these tales. Regardless, she is said to have walked the Wilds for hundreds of years, but why Morrigan is now wearing her crown is a mystery.
